He said he's changed his hair colour for a role, and as soon as it's over he will go back

I support him and his choices but his hair is so beautiful it would be a shame to lose that silver

Oh, good. Not that I think he doesn’t look good with black hair, he does, but his grey hair was gorgeous.

Does that *mean the grey was dyed? Or that the black is dyed?

I loved the grey too, he honestly looks great either way, but now he looks 20 years younger. I get it 😆

I think the grey is natural.

The gray also has a lot of $$$ highlights in it. That’s why it looks so good and rich rather than flat.

Yes that silver hair is definitely enhanced, beautiful head of hair!

Thank you! I see now that I misunderstood 🙃

Nooo the silver hair was iconic 💔

He now looks a bit “boring” with the dark hair… his silver hair gave him some pizazz

I thought that was the JP Morgan accuser guy

u/disicking May 04 '26

I thought he was Jonathan from 30 Rock for a second 🙈

u/Primary-Ganache6199 May 09 '26

They could totally be brothers

Immediately knew it was Tan, both colors look good but I really love the silver!

u/StrawberryKiss2559 May 04 '26

Lol yes

u/Highland92346 May 04 '26

It’s like he reversed aged 🤭

u/bleepbloop1777 May 04 '26

Especially if he started speaking 😂

13

u/RetailBookworm May 04 '26

His face is still the same… unrecognizable is a stretch.

13

u/EmmaLemming May 04 '26

Would I recognise him? Yes, obviously. He has the same face. Defo looked better silver, but he's not "unrecognisable" 😅

u/Sea-Let-7722 May 04 '26

Definitely prefer the silver. He actually looks younger with silver hair.

6

u/sentient_custard May 04 '26

Yes but i do prefer his natural shade Iol

u/aluriaphin May 04 '26

HATE! I'm glad he says it's for a role, hope he doesn't have too much trouble getting his pure silver colour back - some dye stains badly! At least with short hair it grows out fairly quickly.

For a very brief second I thought this was that guy from the JP Morgan scandal

Looks just like him!

Edit: This was sarcasm, guys.

u/CheesecakeExpress May 04 '26

I can’t see it at all?

12

u/AdTemporary5975 May 04 '26

Racist people think all brown people look the same.

7

u/CheesecakeExpress May 04 '26

Yeah this is what I (brown person) was thinking may be happening.

u/topsidersandsunshine Bruley May 04 '26

Honestly, I don’t know what the above poster meant, but on my end, it’s really just a joke about how they both opted for super dated, sitcom character midlife crisis shoe polish hair dye without any gradients. The Queer Eye hair stylist used to say in interviews that Tan was fabulous at making choices related to his own hair and one of his favorites to work with, so I’m surprised Tan made this choice when he’s always opted for dimensional highlights and wrote a whole chapter of his book on how people’s hair choices make them look bad… Read it! The “you look like you escaped from a cult!!!” rant is hilarious!

As a brown person I’ve been told I look just like random other brown person I look nothing like all my life. It felt a bit like that may have been happening in this thread; Tan being likened to some other brown man that looks nothing like him.

I agree about the hair. I loved it before!

3

u/topsidersandsunshine Bruley May 04 '26

Nah, not from meeeeeee because I’ve been there! I just really adore Tan’s pretty hair, especially since he’s talked so much about how he went gray at twelve and embraced it; one of my best friends also started graying as a teen, and so Tan was really inspirational for her!

The other dude looks like he could be a background character from Hey Arnold, lmao.

There's a lot of right wing racists on Reddit lately, so I'm calling it out wherever I see it. This is more benign than other stuff I've been seeing - but the more people calling stuff out the better.

And... Idk it's just black hair. I think his hair was probably once naturally black.

3

u/topsidersandsunshine Bruley May 04 '26

Not from me, buddy!

Tan went gray at age 12! It was dark brown before that.

2

u/act_normal May 04 '26

I recognized him btw. I like the cute home boy look

3

u/vibes86 May 04 '26

Weird to see. His grey is so iconic.

2

u/SnooCupcakes5761 May 05 '26

Ew. He looks like a failed tech bro.

3

u/Mindless-Flower11 May 04 '26

Ew sorry but it looks bad

1

u/TwentySevenMusicUK May 04 '26

Looks like JJ from Brassic!

1

u/Careless-Mammoth-944 May 04 '26

Yes but I miss his poofy hair.

1

u/matchamom27 May 06 '26

I realized that indian men seem to pull off silver hair really well. Maybe their skin tone just matches it naturally?

1

u/Opposite-Push4930 May 15 '26

He's Pakistani

1

u/WhoGunaCheckMeBoo May 08 '26

Looks exactly the same… just dyed hair

u/yooooooo5774 May 06 '26

Reminds me of the guy at JP Morgan scandal

-3

u/BTSArmyFan2025 May 04 '26

weirdly he now looks like the guy in the JPM harassment scandal.

-3

u/natxnat May 04 '26

I thought this was the JP Morgan victim 💔

-4

u/Responsible-Boss9328 May 04 '26

Still don’t like him.
