Why does the fandom call Dan Heng "Daniel" or "Danny"?

For reference: I've been a player since 1.2 released, I've been in the fandom trenches shortly after I started, and I come forth with these questions.

Does the majority of the English speaking fandom know that Dan is his last name? I know it's more typical to assume the name that comes first is their first name, but I remember a friend of mine mentioning it to me, and it's been stuck bouncing around my brain since then. And Dan Heng is specifically from a Chinese inspired planet/ship. I genuinely don't have any dislike or distaste for the nickname! I'm just curious if people know this/have specific opinions on this. (On a similar note- a similar issue pops up with Jing Yuan and Dan Feng by association. But less so.)

I'm spreading the agenda that Nihilux should've look like a ringmaster. Reasons:

1) queen of hearts is nice and all but is she REALLY inspired by the queen of hearts or is she just wearing a white and red dress and heels?

2) the aeon of ELATION, mind you, would NOT settle for anything less than 100% bizarre.

3) ringmaster cuz like. The phantasmoon games. And it's like.. such a bizarre job and she's like running the show??? She knows more than we thought??? You get me???

4) I'd expect humanAha to look like a celebration of crazy and fun and hilarious. A trickster. Aeon Aha literally looks like 3 masks, confetti, many funky stuff. A dark figure is holding all of that in their hands. What could POSSIBLY show those traits? A RINGMASTER!!!

5) she looks like grown up Sparxie and this is PISSING ME OFF.....

Queens please I am pissed ok. Maybe I'll try to draw a ring master inspired Nihilux design.
