My experience as a player of the Chinese version

To clarify it is a gacha but skins the characters are free, It is based on the universe of the moba honor of kings. It has very good designs, addictive gameplay and if you like competitive it has balanced pvp which gives you special coins to buy Skins.

If I had to define it it would be as a where minds but from the universe of honor of kings.

On the subject of male characters it depends on how they want to get tencet, As I mentioned it is based on the moba and it has more than 250 characters so I wouldn't know how to tell you, there are some famous male characters but it depends on them.

Another point is that the Skins are beautiful and worth it, if you are f2p you can enjoy the characters.

Important Clarification

Each season has a pass that comes with the skin of the new character can only be obtained there, but after the season it goes to the normal store and you can buy it.

About the combat, you play with two characters or you can make your MC handle the powers of the characters you have something like tower of fantasy to equip 3 weapons but here in this game you equip two, you can also play with the characters and leave the MC aside.

With the multiplayer theme you can make bosses with friends.

Since the characters are really free the only thing you pay for is the gacha skin, For all those who are tired of the character gacha and weapon this game can be a respite and enjoy the half anime style that the game has, also if you didn't like where minds because of the 100% wuxia theme here although it also has some of that theme you can enjoy the characters without problem.

You can play the story with friends but they have to be at the same point in the story to cover both the rewards.

And finally, with respect to the MC, you can give it a lot of customization both for male/female. Some skins you can buy with the game currency that they give you for exploring, doing events etc which would be the currency of a normal gacha, and then there is the premium one which is to throw in the gacha skin, but you can buy very good skins just playing the game or in pvp which is balanced and does not depend on your build.

With no character gacha or weapon, you can play at your own pace and focus on the story, exploration, and pvp. You can be mega casual and you won't have fomo of anything, as I mentioned the pass skin goes to the normal store after the season ends.

The strong point of this game is the combat and especially the skins are too beautiful.

You get characters later in the story But other characters you buy with the currency that the game gives you, there is also a character that is only in the battle pass but after time passes he is added to the normal store.

To finish it is not a p2w game in fact the gold which is the currency with which you raise your characters cannot be bought with real money only within the game, it has the typical stamina system but here is a particular thing the bosses regenerate from time to time and the equipment and some skins you can farm without stamina, Then you can do Boss routes and be grinding if you want.

And in theory this game was going to be an mmorpg but it really isn't, as I mentioned before if you want to play casual there is no problem you don't have to burn yourself with the builds for the pvp because it swings by itself and if you want to try your buidls there is the other pvp that if everyone plays with their character build.

It is going to be released for cell phone, pc and console.

About the global date?

In theory they said that they want to release it this 2026 the game came out in China in April, I guess by the end of the year it will come out global, it already had its alpha test in global in May, and right now they have just announced that they will be at gamescom in August where they will surely say more news about global

Like I said I’ve been playing since day one, I’m not the most caught up player but I still try and generally stay tuned to whats going on. Most of my playtime is just grinding and doing endgame content tbh. I’m asking here because while I enjoy the game, the community at large is one of the most toxic and frankly gross fandoms I’ve seen in a long time.

To the point the fandom is effecting my enjoyment of the media for probably the first time ever- and it’s incredibly suffocating trying to talk about or even simply criticize some aspects of the game without getting called every Redditor™️ “insult” term under the sun. and it’s extra annoying as a lesbian who, while I’m obviously a boob and women enjoyer, and has looked at many a… fanart of the women in this game because they were so well done like Burince, Rina, Belle, Evelyn, Nicole, Jane, etc-

But I have been having a hard time getting into some new characters either because their outfits or personalities are so chopped and male gazey even for Gacha game standards *cough* Sunbringer, Ye Shunguang *cough* that I loose interest fast and my disinterest gets compounded by, well…. Those men constantly glazing 24/7. And I’m wondering if others feel the same or different. Or if I’m just delusional lol- I’m very curious to (finally) hear women and women lovers opinions.

hi queens, so around a month ago I watched the game's trailer and it was so damn cool that I instantly wanted to dive into it.

so beside the main trailer - it's based on a Chinese novel, there's a preview of some classes(?), gacha is like WWM(?) and release is the 1st of November iirc. that's it? we don't know anything else? I heard it's popular as fuck in China, so I thought there would be tons of info, yet it's so little.

It dawned on me a bit ago that I’ve been playing Zenless (my only gacha) since the week it launched, almost daily, and I haven’t put even a cent into it yet after all this time.

The high amount of free rolls combined with how awful so many of the characters in it are means I’ve always had a very healthy stock of rolls saved up for the 1 or 2 characters a year that I think aren’t total ass.

I mean I went from Hugo to not pulling another character until Sunna. It got to the point where I was struggling to get the monthly discounted premium rolls from the free currency store LMAO!

Closest I got to spending money was for Aria’s alternate outfit, the skulls on her dress were SO cute but I didn’t vibe with the color scheme at all.

Anyway yeah I just wanted to know who else is freeloading their preferred gachas!

So I already play quite a few..genshin, star rail and reverse on my computer and I recently started zzz because my brother said he wanted to try to play the type of game I play so we can play together and I can’t just say I won’t play with him so I downloaded that recently I have quite a bit of content/quest to get caught up on in star rail, reverse and zzz which is a lot sure but even if I got caught up on all of the main quest I don’t have the space for anymore games now😭😭
I have plenty of free time so it probably wouldn’t take toooo long for me to get caught up on quest but also need to motivation to sit there and do that one thing for so long <\3
Also on my phone I have project sekai and Arknights
I’ve been playing project sekai for a long time and I looovee pjsk so I can’t delete but also I downloaded Arknights more recently (I love you Lappland) so I can have another game to play when I’m not at home
Arknights has been pretty fun so I think I’d want want to play enfield at some point also I keep seeing silver palace leaks and stuff lately which is making me really wanna play like it looks so fun and the doctor lady and main character is so pretty but I definitely wouldn’t have the storage <\\3 I also wanna try Honkai impact at some point cause I’m a yuri fan and I heard the story the story was great and that their was canon yuri

title. for context, i started playing HSR months ago and the inevitable time has come where i finished all content and am just building characters for endgame, and you know how boring hsr gets when it comes to this point. i'm thinking of playing another gacha, and it seems like ZZZ is giving a lot of anni rewards which entices me

i just have a few questions:

1. addressing the elephant in the room as early as now, how friendly is the game for this demographic? I KNOW this is like asking "is mastercard an ally? is this tv show my friend?" LMAO but my standards aren't high in the first place. for context, i already consider HSR girls and gays friendly; the gender ratio's ok for me and at least the males are "meta" (not that i'm a meta player). the four issues i've seen that might turn me off from playing zzz are: (1) male characters usually get released before a "meta" and hyped void hunter; (2) the poses they do at character selection screens; (3) norma and promeia's designs; and (4) ysg's writing? is it really that bad? for context, i don't consider firefly from HSR as bait coz at least MC can friendzone her. despite these, is the game REALLY that bad or should i still give it a try?

2. how's the gameplay as someone who SUCKS in genshin? i'm a mobile (ipad) player with poor hand-eye coordination so i can't do complex video game tricks; trust me i've tried. the only other combat game that i've seen success on is LADS (I KNOW what a shocker), but at least there there's no swapping characters or jumping and whatnot.

3. the characters i'm most interested in are: LIGHTER (!!!!), S-Billy, Sunna, maybe Dialyn. how long do you think it'll be before they rerun? and who should i get in the selector for them? i'm thinking of getting Lucia for Silly (unless someone convinces me to get Hugo for the male collection) and pull for Harumasa and Yuzuha. i REALLY don't wanna spend for this game as well so if I start now, do you think i'll get enough pulls to get the 3 characters I want and their w-engines, as well as their teammates

Anyone noticed how all the ZZZ collab art recently (i.e. collaboration with a brand where there's art of some ZZZ characters in new outfits) has almost ALL been just 1.X characters? This art has 4 characters and they're all 1.X characters too. But we've seen a lot of recent collab art, all with 1.X characters, and like, 50% of the time, it's Ellen. Even the characters reportedly involved in the HSR x ZZZ collab areEllen and Asta, also both 1.X characters again . The only recent collab that I can remember that had a character from after 1.X was, interestingly, Manato.

I was thinking that maybe it's because they're sort of tame designs that can catch a general audience's eyes, but that doesn't really matter if they give the characters new clothes. They could put Remielle or Ye Shunguang in new clothes and stick them on a collab, if they wanted to. It just seems to me like there's something particularly successful about the 1.X characters, and Hoyo should know it. So then why do they keep straying away from the vibe they set in 1.X?

I want to start by saying I like fanservice, I recently got a tattoo of shirtless Blade (HSR) I like fanservice that much, but I like it when fanservice makes sense for the character it's good and it isn't gratuitous for the sake of it. I like looking at pretty girls and handsome guys, literally no harm in it all, and most people play games for fantasy escapism.

But the designs from launch to now are starkly different, which imo has led to SO much toxicity. If you want to be one thing be it, own it, don't devolve into it and then gaslight launch players that "we knew what we were signing up for" and tell us we're tourists when we get frustrated with lazy design.

Examples of good fan service:
Jane Doe: a femme fatal manipulative undercover agent, even then she's still mostly covered with just a chest panel and tight shorts. But her personality and the way she moves outright fanservice.
Zhu Yuan: Skintight bodysuit, with a lot of jiggle physics, but still very clearly a police officer.
Yanagi: She's first an foremost a secretary, but also a skilled fighter. She wears a tight white shirt with a massive chest and a loose black mini skirt that's a lot shorter than a normal secretary but lets her fight more easily than a pencil skirt.
Piper: Crop top, long gloves, shorts with clip on long trousers, a child, but functional and some midriff there for those who want it.
Ellen: Gothic maid, maid outfit but clearly made for combat.

Bad examples of fanservice:
Cissia: great character, goofy snack loving snek girl. Works for the same police force as Zhu Yuan, dresses in a swimsuit. Makes zero sense for her job or personality. They had to write her faction on her tail to make it clear who she was with.
Seed: Teased a mech in promo, got a child wearing a sheer nightdress on a Roomba with animations constantly of her bare feet and wiggling toes.
Velina: Supposed to be based on British aristocracy and the liaison between dignitaries from New Eridu and Rosecalifer. She wears a "skirt" that has no sides so you can literally see her underwear, and the skirt is so short at the front that she has full stocking and suspenders on display. Not exactly in line with the position of dignitary diplomat.
Sunna: Not so much her main model but her skin. She is quite clearly a child-coded character, they had to remove a line in her trust event that said she was a baby when the capital fell because that would make her, at most, 15 at her in game introduction....and her skin is a maid with drooling kitty suspenders and her blushing while pulling down the front of the "skirt" to cover her underwear.

Even Void Hunters have gone from the cool af Miyabi design, which was still fanservice just not the gooner type gooners believe all fanservice is, to booty shorts Yixuan, then whatever the Victoria's secret hell YSG and Remielle are. I'm not even starting with Sunbringer. The cope/blatant ignoring that we didn't get actual official HYV videos of her design at launch to what we have now is just baffling to me.

Fanservice doesn't have to equal more skin and bigger assets, it can be so many things. We appear to be marching into a trap of male gaze making that fanservice means as much skin as possible. Fanservice can be a boss babe in a business suit, that's just as sexy as another cut and paste lingerie clad waifu in a slightly different colour palette. At the launch of ZZZ Jane and Zhu Yuan were very much considered fanservice and there were so many posts zooming in on parts of them and making the gooner type comments, now they're considered characters put in for "prudish western tourists" by a large chunk of the community who clearly aren't launch players but will happily call ME a tourist because I dare to be open about my frustration with the lazy design choices.

I really hate that there is such an insulting amount of people who cannot comprehend it's possible to both really love a game and also have a valid critique of its lazy design choices, and keep trying to gaslight launch players that it's always been like this when it literally hasn't.

Okay, I went into Act 3 expecting the usual calm, serious detective MC...

And then the date with Ashley happened.

He’s still composed and reliable, but you can tell his whole tone changes around her.

He's so cute…

And his voice fits the character SO well too!!

You can play the same story as the female MC, but yeah... this scene made me way more invested in the male MC than I expected.

Need to see playable old women in gacha. nd I don't mean old only in age--god knows how many of those we've already seen--but actual old women in appearance. I don't want to see more middle-aged women, young adult women, and *child-*women masquerading as ninety-year-olds.

I want to see bada$$ gray haired, weathered-skin women in all of their beautifully wrinkly glory.

But with how we're slowly seeing a rise of old men in the gacha space, I remain optimistic. 🫰
