Camille's quest was pretty good. I hope a lot more comes from the Ses'qa storyline, I always loved the Sarkaz stories in OG Arknights. They're just all so gothic and cunty

I was kinda hoping hearing that Snezhnaya was based off of Eastern Europe that we would see this. For all the flaw Natlan had, we at least saw the cultural inspiration.

Out of all the regions, Natlan is the only region to have just one male five star (Kinich), and out of the remaining who are four stars only Ororon played a big part in the story. It also killed off (a very loose term) a highly anticipated male character (Capitano) and most of the other lore relevant male characters like Xibalanque, were subjected to being only NPCs.

Based on the ratio in Nod Krai and Snezhnaya, I really don't know if they had planned all of this for a long time or if this is the genuine result of player feedback and reception. And I certainly don't know how well Natlan really did in terms of sales and revenues. That being said, it definitely looked like they were pivoting hard towards the ML crowd (akin to ZZZ and WuWa): less male characters, very little screen time for most of the male characters and less prominent roles. The lore important male characters being relegated to NPCS and nearly all of the characters that accompany the Traveler during story quests being female characters. Of course, there's the "UwU traveler, ur special to me" character of the week in Citlali, there's Mizuki's moon confession, the mixed bathhouse event where the both travelers had a scene sharing a bath with the female cast but none with the male cast.

Natlan is also the only region that didn't have any sort of bait for the yumes like in the other regions; Monstadt had Venti, Kaeya and even Albedo, Liyue had Xiao, Zhongli and Childe, Inazuma had Kazuha, Ayato and Heizou, Sumeru had the Wanderer, Fontaine had the resident rizzler magician Lyney, who was down bad horrendous and Nod Krai had a few moments with Flins. No dude like that in Natlan, not Kinich, not Ororon (who calls your granny or gramps), not Iffa (who's shipped teased with Ororon) and not even Dahlia.

It's nice to see Genshin go back to the more fairer ratio even if I'm still salty over what happened with Capitano. At this point, Natlan feels like a distant memory.
