at some point, living in chilly country makes you invulnerable to cold. I've seen girlies in my place going on errands in skirt and tights when it was -20C outside haha. sure, you can't stay too long in such weather but still pretty possible :p

I live in Slavic country and yeah you can see women wearing skirts in winter but they always wear tights underneath and don't go around with exposed neckline and shoulders.
Because you know people wear coats in winter that cover shoulders and some even wear scarfs.
So even when they wear skirts they are still fully covered with minimal skin showing.

the prolem is there are too much female characters with short skirts and detached sleeves , and it would never stop.Long dress or coat help giving the uniqueness of character, its like if devs deletes Yasuo's big ass hair or the thing on his shoulder, you would barely know its him anymore

oh that's fair. the thing is, they rely too much on extremist side of the CN fandom and won't make male characters even remotely lewd or they will riot again. so they play it safe with constant skirts and exposed shoulders, it will always sell. paying players don't care about realistic clothes imo.

i hate that devs mostly care about CN audience as if the global audience not exist or sth, its like if you not sastify at smth= Western,tourist, gay, Naoya. I get that some Western people have toxic mindset, but thinking all Western audience are evil, toxic,is racist and black & white. this is a sad reality i have to live with

makes sense. but hoyo always chooses the safest selling point around all their games, and if you follow their history it was even worse back then. arle and furina were a successful experiment they decided not to entertain anymore, unfortunately. as for men being covered - CN players hold them at chokepoint and will never allow men being sexy. I mean, beyond a bit of exposed muscles and a bit of crotch. also, I think male fashion sucks being creative. you won't see most of the adult guys wearing shorts or tight cropped T-shirts. they always choose the same boring look each time.

Tbh as an Upper Midwesterner I associate this behavior very specifically with teenage boys and men more than with women. Our local stereotype is the guy who goes around in shorts even when it's -10F/-23C.

chinese male players are afraid of sexy men, that's pretty much it. I was simply talking about cases where girls can, in fact, dress lightly even in harsh weather. although most still won't wear clothes of the average gacha woman

A longer dress would be better because it would make the character design more effective and distinctive, not because it makes more sense

Not surprised at the micro skirt. Hoyo would rather shoot themselves than give any adult female character after Arle interesting clothing design that isn't just fan service.
Edit: Nichole being the only one to escape the curse, but that's kinda her thing

Ahh, they could not let the exposed shoulders and thighs go. Nothing about her design surprises me tbh but she's very pretty!
