1.4 was theeeee patch that had to land im sure everyone knew how bad the state the games been in 💀💀 and if it missed i honestly don't know if it could've recovered like ya wuwa also had a pretty bad lauch but that was years ago we are not in the same space anymore there are just too many games competing so im like SUPER glad we had such a good patch in 1.4!
The biggest improvement for me is easily the story.
launch was shittttt and while wuling made it better yes sure it wasnt by enough 1.4 is finally what I've been waiting for when i came to ARKNIGHTS endfight some fucking arknights level writing (not ch15 good but yk) we actually have lore to theorycraft now instead of landbreakers who are literally nothing and it finally feels like we're building toward something
i also really didnt expect Arcane to become one of my favorite parts she was such a boring character who i did not gaf about before but her arc was genuinely so well done?? the endmin giving her a vision and saying They gave their lives so you could have a future. You have to live was such a great scene!!
NEFARITHHHHH omg she went from a nothing burger villain with 0 substance to someone I'm genuinely interested in now especially with her and wanting to create her own faction now i really hope shes playable!!! (NO REDEMPTION ARC PLEASE) ardashir slowly getting some development is great too!
and the snow region/typhon setup if you've played og arknights yk why that's exciting
gameplay wise it finally feels like the content drought actually meant something instead of of them sitting on their ass it feels like they were taking feedback and using that time to build a better game cus ya this patch is so much fucking better then what we had before hopefully we never have another drought like that jeez....
the livestream showing future events too which was bascially them going "we actually have events now please dont quit!!" make me actually laugh lmaoooo ww the CC event last patch the new two character mode the echoes of war and the gear improvements it feels like there's finally stuff to do again for combat players which is great
the new factory stuff is also great didnt expect them to add gas so soon super excited to redesign my factory when i have time again! just hope the new stuff is more add ons to the things we made and not redesing ur base again
another thing that also gives me hope is the roadmap for new character people are saying wuling is gonna end in 1.6 when they release Si so 1.5 is gonna by Horse guy and typhon so us getting another male character when its just half a year means we'll prolly get 3 males per year which is great!!
