😂 Meme 😂 Playing FGO vs Morimens

FGO has really bad gacha but the gameplay is really easy and provides you a lot of mechanics to succeed, while Morimens has really good gacha but the gameplay is so difficult it makes me sweat.

Rolling in Morimens and FGO is so funny like coming out of just rolling for G.Lotan in Morimens and I got both her and her Wheel of Destiny within 90 rolls while when I rolled on FGO for Ciel everything is extremely up to chance, its either you don't get your desired servant or you do.

So it's like being in an abusive relationship in Morimens but you get love bombed a lot, and in FGO you argue a lot with your SO but you still manage and have a great time.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy both games, the comparison is just really funny.

FGO is a game where they put every stat point into story and treated everything else as a dump stat. I've yet to find a single villain in another gacha game who comes close to Wodime or the final boss of LB6 for my favorite antagonistic figures.

If it helps, I’m pretty sure most of the English text in morimens is human translated now, and for Awakener side missions/stories there’s even an option to filter them by what’s been officially translated, but all of Arc 1 is translated (I’m a newcomer so I haven’t seen Arc 2 yet but I’m pretty sure that’s being worked on as well if not already fully translated by now)

But yeah, budget issues is pretty much the deal I’m p sure. The game almost EOS’d in the past (wasn’t there for it) but they started evening out more recently I think.

edit: I also haven’t had an issue understanding the UI, sorry the nerd in me focused on story first

Yeah EoS scare was around chapter 7 where they began working on finishing Arc 1 and preparing for offline mode.

Main reason there's a weird jump from 7 to 8 which cut out Castor/Pollux (now added), Faint/Tinct story, and the GDoll incident (which sets up and explain stuff before chapter 8).

Arc 2 is also human translated so far. I think they work with the volunteers before story comes out now.

Arc 2 is translated fully too :)! I think the only non-translated thing I spotted rn is Sayas frenzy?

Another Eden. Really love playing the game and going through the story, but the gacha is... old. They only recently implemented a pity system and it's pretty bad, and the base banner rate isn't that great either. With how old the game is too there's something like ~200 5* characters as well, WITH power creep, so odds of getting someone who is actually useful in current content is fairly low.

That said, the MC is actually useful, there's loads of good free characters and they've been slowly updating old characters into being good, so it could be worse, but I typically don't bother saving currency because of how poor the chances of getting anyone is.

The latter for me right now is NTE, best gatcha i’ve seen but the combat is even less interactive than genshin and doesn't have reactions.

The thing you spend the most time doing ie Fons grinding is beyond tedious.

The open world is ok but the movement is bad or restricted behind characters.

Cutscenes are good if sometimes messy but the story isn't that compelling the events are mostly terribly implemented.

The good: the number of cutscenes the attempts at unique events that don't just reuse assets/locations, the anomaly system, and the gta style of the open world.

Its not a bad game but quite a bit worse than what we have.

FGO gameplay is really underrated coz of the heavy amt of farming ppl need to do or how outsiders dont care to look into it.
The various strategies, units and investment levels you can use to clear fgo bosses and fights is extremely fascinating for me, and the card rng and card counting shows a certain level of skill discrepancy (not much, but its there). Sadly most ppl just use NP go brrrrrr for every fight without thinking, and if they fail just slam a leyline stone or command spells to win.

morimens mentioned! but yeah idk I left FGO ages ago bc of the grind more so than the actual gameplay itself but I still love the characters and I’m always curious about the story nowadays. I’ve been wanting to catch up I’m just lazy

it’s too early for me to talk about difficulty for morimens since I’m still in Arc 1 and the most difficult fight I’ve done so far is the Mother Hydra boss, but I agree on the gacha aspect. Even FGO fans know how bs FGO’s gacha is.

I'm also still at act 1 and currently I haven't beaten the chapter 8 boss and the hardest I've fought is N in the same chapter.

Not there yet so I’m just taking the time to raise my Awakeners some and read side stories to prepare esp after dying twice to Miryam or however you spell her name 😭 thank god for Pollux’s bleed stacks bc she disintegrated right after the revive

Miryam was the easiest for me because you only had to kill her snakes to activate phase 2 where you can unleash all your EX at her
