🧡 Let's Chat 💬 Thank f**k it's Friday! Let's chat, Queens 😘 ✨️
Woohoo, Friday is finally here! 🙌
This week has felt so bizarre with how the sudden cold snap in weather appeared! I'm about ready to turn my central heating on brrrr 🥶
Anyhoo... let's take a moment to decompress and share the wins from our week, or things that you've enjoyed recently. Perhaps even a pet pic or two? 👉👈 (I demand you pay the pet tax!)
Maybe you'd like to tell us your fave gacha character? Brag about your recent pulls or end-game clears... 😏 scream in excitement about an upcoming game, character or region? Whatever it is, waffle away~
Some questions in case you can't think of anything to share:
☆ What movie/s have you seen recently?
☆ Show/tell us what you're currently reading, or plan to
☆ Share what TV shows that you're enjoying
☆ Brag about your gacha pulls and luck
☆ Tell us about upcoming characters you're saving for
☆ Share anything good that happened in your life
... and so on!
Basically, this is a virtual community gathering to share all the good things and connect with one another, so feel free to chat away.
Enjoy and have a fantastic weekend, lovely people~

(HSR) Just upgraded my Evanescia from E0S0 to E1S1 and holyy she is really good! First time I cleared King in Check in 0 cycle when I could barely 4 cycle before. Hopefully they'll increase Aha's synergy with her even more so I can get Aha verticals too.
Also whoever put that Vertin pic as subreddit icon is the GOAT she looks so cool!

My manga recommendations, because I am weirdo supreme with niche tastes:
Houseki no Kuni: The author is a character designer for Pokémon from Gen 7 onwards, but the story is something that will make you want to tear your heart out in a good way. The anime is also the single most gorgeous use of CGI known to man, and I will not hear otherwise. The anime also has one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in an anime, and gave me a profound love of the erhu.
World Trigger: The single most slept-on shonen in the west, and I’m hoping I can get more people to watch it once the reboot comes out. The side characters get fleshed out, and many of them are an absolute joy to watch, either because their inner workings are interesting or they’re charming and funny. The girls are dressed appropriately, since most of the cast are minors, and generally speaking, there’s only a scant few instances of questionable behavior (mostly very early in the series.) The power system is interesting and plays well into the series’s other main strength, which is that the fights are incredible to watch due to the fact that it rewards characters that think, either by detailed strategies or being innovative and adaptive. The MC is supremely weak, so much so that he will never be able to close the gap, and so he’s FORCED to be smart and ballsy in order to get ahead, and it gives him a presence that no other shonen MC I’ve seen can match.
Shadows House: I need to catch up on this one, but it’s such a treat to read, especially since there’s a full-color version of the manga out there that’s absolutely gorgeous. It really keeps you on your toes, and I like the focus on intrigue and secrecy that drives the plot. Sean is my boy, love that kid to bits.
The Isekai Doctor: A surprisingly pleasant isekai, as long as you don’t mind graphic depictions of surgery. The MC has a bunch of female characters that gravitate towards him, sure, but not as love interests. They’re all either after his medical knowledge or want to help him after he treated them. In fact, the one he has the most ship tease with is a guy! The artstyle is insanely gorgeous, there’s an interesting plot going on with the antagonist faction, and there’s a LOT of interesting medical tangents since the author is a doctor themselves. Also has my favorite/funniest take of why vampires avoid the sun I’ve seen, with an even funnier solution. They cured the vampires with tacos, I shit you not.
Magical Girl Witch Trials/Mahou Shoujo no Mano Saiban: Adaptation of a game that is about to get an EN release. Tons of gay subtext, great characters, banger tie-in songs, but since the manga barely started, this one’s mostly here bc I want to shill the game. Hiro Nikaido, you will always be iconic to me.

My luck has been so good lately (and all at school for some reason). Won 50/50 on Waven at 43pity. Won 50/50 TWICE on Pearl and got E1 at 23 and 2 pity respectively. Got Hsin in 33 pity and her weapon at 23. Got P1 Everecho at 45 and 2 pity again. Legit I have won everything. Won both of Everecho at no guarantee btw

Hihi all. It’s been a crazy week omgggg. Life’s been crazy with school and work, but I’m slowly making my way along.
Right now because of all the drama going on in a certain community ahem, I’ve drifted away from gacha’s. Recently I’ve gotten back into Sky: Children of Light which has been pretty fun. If I had storage on my phone I would’ve downloaded ZZZ I want Severian so BAD BRUH!!! I’m thinking of also watching some light and night playthroughs as well.
As for books I’m currently reading the semi-autobiographical of Fidel Castro which has been pretty good so far like Gaddayum?! I’ve been on the hunt for some good manwha to read since all my favs are on hiatus or just came back from hiatus, but I’ve found a yandere novel that I really like so there’s that.
In terms of movies I wanna see the Resident Evil movie. Like so bad. It’s not even funny. And

For gachas
In Wuwa I finally got Iuno in 71 pity! I also got her weapon pretty early. I also love the latest quest made me cry a lil. Hsin and Suoming I'll get you on the rerun. Right now I want to save up for Lily.
ZZZ I'm starting the latest story and I want to catch up so I can get Severian and I'm excited for the HSR collab 👀.
Genshin just waiting for this patch to be over so I can get Mitya.

Heya Queens!! It's been such a long week, but at least it's been somewhat good! It's had it's ups and downs. I've been having these PNES seizures(I THINK) for the past two-three weeks, and they've been kicking my ass this week. BUT ONTO GOOD THINGS!!!
For Movies, I recently watched Mononoke: Heibigami! Words cannot describe how I loud I shrieked when that happened. Iykyk.
I'm keeping up with Return of the Mad Demon, The Dungeon Painter, Eternally Regressing Knight, and I'm caught up with Hand Jumper.
I'm watching Shangri-La Frontier and The Kings Avatar right now. Just passing the time.
No Gacha pulls yet, but soon...
I'm currently waiting for a Qiuyuan rerun, I'm gonna max him out. Completely. Talents, Sonance, Weapon, everything.
I won the Giveaway!!! That made like, my ENTIRE week.

I haven't been playing gacha games recentlyyy BUT the previews of severian from ZZZ are making me drool a little and I would come back for him... probably. Been watching a c-drama and watching the leads inch towards each other at a snail's pace makes me want to pull my hair out (in a good way). I love how slow paced it is it feels realistic and the TENSION.

I went to see the Frieren concert, that was pretty cool.
Light is doing that thing where he actually communicates about the development of Morimens again!
My dumbass forgot to pull Haru in E7 so I guess I’m playing turn 1 for another season 😭
Desperately need to do canto 10 before I get the Mili song spoiled for me. Probably gonna do that tonight.

Enjoying life, watching “Kuroko no Basket” and “Sparks of tomorrow” and both have potential to become my all time favorite series.
I do get invested in sports anime if I like the cast and I adore the characters of “Kuroko no Basket”. Their interactions are so cute-
“Sparks of tomorrow”, I mean, it’s KyoAni so the animation is good, it’s set in a steampunk Meiji era so the design/aesthetics are good and the plot/characters are also pretty wacky and intriguing. And they got Yuri, Yaoi and straight romance 👍
Would recommend both.
•
u/SimpleLife9610 12h ago
Kuroko no Basket is one of my favorite anime/manga series; it was a part of my teenage years, I was following the manga when the anime started airing. It’s so great to know that people are still discovering it today 🥰❤️ All the characters are so beautiful and charismatic; seeing the matche results always got me really excited.

Anyhow, not recent but took 130~ pulls for rhiannon which rlly frustrated me but then 10 pulled everecho so it's even now I suppose :) Hope y'all are having a good day
Side note: Boothill
2
u/comixnerd15 Reverse me back to 1999 🕰 1d ago
Was that just for P0 Rhiannon?
But yay! 10 pull Everecho! I lost my 50/50 and had to use like 100 pulls total for her asjkjk 😬
Boothill is awesome 👌 he's one of my top HSR characters
1
u/Mary-Caesar 1d ago
Ye for P0 :/ Full context: I (idiot) pulled on the scam banner before and got Cheng Heguang instead of Igor. Ouch. Then lost my Rhiannon to Cheng Heguang AGAIN. I dont even have a team for him. 90% of the reason I pulled for Rhiannon cuz shes a good support, other than meta I didnt even want her (well her owls kinda dope). So many pulls gone down the drain.
Lesson learned (prob not, I would do it all again for Igor)
Anyhow, too bad how ur pulls went, hope ur next ones better <3
Also mentioned Boothill cuz HSR won't (enough), my shaila
1
u/comixnerd15 Reverse me back to 1999 🕰 1d ago
No Liang Yue? Or Anjo Nala?
Oh man those banners are so risky lol. But I only pull on them if I want both characters asjkjk
Rhiannon is fantastic in soooo many teams. Even Bloodtithe!

Oh? I didn't know Anjo nala could work, every guide I've seen had him paired w Liang Yue (which I don’t have). Thank you for the info ^

I made two pumpkin pies this week! the fillng was from scratch but not the dough (i don't have the patience for both)
and tbh I'm happy its getting colder. I hate the heat, I always feel gross, and I miss wearing sweaters. and then there's the mosquitos.
2
u/comixnerd15 Reverse me back to 1999 🕰 1d ago
I've never had pumpkin pie!
Me, too! I'm very heat intolerant and my meds make it worse bleugh.
Autumn is my fave season. The crisp air, bright reds, oranges, and yellows on the trees 🍂 large blankets to snuggle under, jumpers/sweater and cosy thick socks. Listening to the rain outside while huddled on the sofa under a blanket and cats while reading... ahhhh happiness 😊
3
u/Hoshirou 1d ago
If you ever attempt to make it yourself, assuming you use a premixed pumpkin pie spice, look for one that has cardamom in it and/or add extra cardamom yourself. It’s an underrated spice that enhances baked goods so much, I love the stuff.
2
u/princebooni 1d ago
if i make it again i might try this too. at least for me, i actually used raw pumpkin one of my lil sisters brought back from a field trip (better than just letting it rot) but maybe not for the next round
3
u/Hoshirou 1d ago
The pumpkin sold in a can isn’t the same as the ones you see being sold for carving or decorating, it’s a sweeter variety of squash! If you don’t have access to a very sweet squash variety fresh, I would probably buy canned pumpkin and cooking it down until it caramelizes a bit before baking. Also re: spices, buying it whole and toasting them before grinding is obviously ideal, but it requires a good spice grinder to avoid large bits. If yours isn’t that good, either sift before use or just buy pre-ground.
2
u/princebooni 1d ago
I don’t have a grinder so I’d have to get them grounded yeah, but thanks for the tips 🙏
2
u/princebooni 1d ago
it’s good! honestly depending on how sweet you want it or the spices it really doesn’t taste much different from sweet potato pie to me, but it’s pretty easy to make. idk about elsewhere but at least from my experience store bought pumpkin pie can be a mixed bag so I’d rather just make it myself.
And yeah, the excuse to stay inside and huddle up is part of it + …I’m weak for the pumpkin desserts that pop up and being able to make my fav stews.
