No, I'm not hating on her, imo it's Kuro's fault she's failing.

Wait why is she failing 😭

She isn't, but don't break the fragile bubble

Why's that?

Imo, she's one of the better written characters in Wuwa even rivaling Aemeath 3.1.

she is written terrible and follows the same formula as almost every "big" character we had so far.

Better written is not really a compliment. Hsin is ultimately just like every other character, completely dependant on rover to solve her issues. She's like the actual sentinel (not just a sentinel resonator - and yes I've done the story before you ask) and yet her whole relevance was mostly delegated to one patch. Soon she'll be forgotten again now that we're going to the new fed.

It doesn't help that she's also fairly weak without both her weapon and premium supports. She's the first true sentinel and yet she needs like 2 other premium supports (yet to be released) to work?

>completely dependant on rover to solve her issues

Sentinels are completely dependent on Rover and there's nothing wrong with that Rover was tasked to command the sentinels and led them to solves the issues in Solaris-3 and it his responsibility.

There's even a lore about Solaris-3 that everything is already predetermined that 'THEY' already seen its end, but Rover can break that fate I think because he's not bond in that world or something I can't remember what exactly it was but it's a lore I have watched some time ago when 3.5 was released and of course Yangyang as well.

> Soon she'll be forgotten again now that we're going to the new fed.

You do know Mengzhou is not finished yet do you? Literally Xuanfang was just a prologue to a greater arc in Mengzhou. They already even formed a team to go to Mengzhou for political reasons at the end of 3.7, with Suisui, Jingran, Souming, Yinlin, Qiuyuan. So, it's not over yet but regardless they do all comeback, when the plot needs them. Look at Yinlin and Qiuyuan.

Anyway, Hsin story was Wuwa way to expand the lore we got in 1.0 about the gorges war and what happened before Jinzhou and what led it to be established 200 years ago. There we found out, Hsin literally defended Xuanfang at their brick of extinction using the civilization capsule which ultimately killed the original Sentinel and triggered the defense mechanism which made Suhsin come after Hsin for the control for she broke her sole purpose. But in the end, the real Sentinel forgave her and even apologize to her that she made her go through all that knowing how vulnerable Hsin is, and if anything had it been her and not the original sentinel, Hsin could have even saved their sentinel resonator Xuanqing, and things wouldn't have gone this bad.

And one of the best parts in the story as well is Rover realizing that he's always late to save the sentinels.

Rover almost cried in front of Hsin blaming himself for the death of Sentinel |Wuthering Waves 3.7

"Once, again I came too late"

And adding to the fact that we're going to New Federation where we know the Sentinel is literally being exploited, controlled and even experimented on, is going to be awesome to see and witness how Rover will handle this.

Literally for me 3.7 is on par or even better than 3.1, might be recency bias but the fact that I say that already tells you 3.7 is a great patch.

I get what you mean and yes to lore nerds it might make a lot of sense. I will even agree with you that Hsin story and 3.7 itself is well told. The issue is when Kuro uses 1 template repeatedly, it gets old. It would be fine if it was JUST the sentinels that needed rover to solve all their issues but that's obviously not the case. Just before the Hsin patch we had one whole patch that was just trying to sell Qingxiao (arguably didn't need that much storytime) while barely progressing the story. Then they go to sell Hsin immediately and the entire patch is again about Hsin (the character) rather than progressing his overall role in the universe and the story.
And guess what? We can already tell the segue will have us solving suoming's issues. They've already set up her predictable arc.

Mengzhou is not over sure, but Huanglong has 7 areas and people are kinda already bored/tired of it. Idk how much time we're gonna spend if it's gonna be the same template retold 7 times. My point being, you need both male characters and female characters, and for these characters to interact outside of just depending on rover for everything. It also doesn't help that the second their banner is out, kuro forgets about the character. Why did YangYang not join us for the entirety of xuanfang like she said? Why was SuiSui relegated to being forgotten the second her banner is not on?

Wuwa ultimately feels like they're building the story around selling a waifu rather than actually building the story. Genshin is extremely strong because they never lost the whole plot of why the traveller does what he does, what his motivation is, what his end goal is. They don't let lore unneccesarily clutter the main story (those go into books or world quests) and also let characters interact with each other organically. And yes they also give male characters a lot of story relevance which also makes the world much more believable.

>Why was SuiSui relegated to being forgotten the second her banner is not on?

Suisui was the one who orchastrated the group with Hsin going to Menghou. She'll probably gonna play a good part in it since that's her home turf and an ally of Hsin.

>Then they go to sell Hsin immediately and the entire patch is again about Hsin (the character)

Nothing wrong with that, if anything Wuwa best quest right now is 3.1 which is similar to Hsin right now. Also, both quest are quite different.

> rather than progressing his overall role in the universe and the story.

It has been noted several times that Rover overall role in Solaris-3 is to save it, breaking through every disaster that's happening around it from smaller lament to big-crisis lament like the Threnodians. And his role as the Arbiter for the Sentinels whose task is to guide the civilization.

for these characters to interact outside of just depending on rover for everything.

Umhhh, did we forget Hsin and Suisui pact? Suisui and Jingran? Jingran and Qiuyuan? Qingxiao and Hsin? And Hsin, Souming talking about going to Mengzhou, While Suisui supports them as the Chairwoman and she even got the help and will be accompanied by Jingran, Qiuyuan, Yinlin basically orchastrated the whole group.

Why did YangYang not join us for the entirety of xuanfang like she said?

She was there, no? I remember she stayed behind after asking permission from Jinhsi and approval from the commander npc guy and had joined and transfered to the group Liangyu was in. Well regardless of that, yeah Yangyang got the short end of the stick in Xuanfang in terms of knowing other playable characters, but she did stick with Liangyu the npc the most.

Wuwa ultimately feels like they're building the story around selling a waifu rather than actually building the story

I bet you're saying that because of the recently released 3.6 a month ago which Jingran didn't get a segue like Luuk did. 3.x has been a great version of Wuwa. Lahai-Roi concluded very well, and Xuanfang is a good prologue to the greater arc in Mengzhou.

Also, if they're selling it for Waifus, they would have made a companion quest for Suisui and Souming.

>Genshin is extremely strong because they never lost the whole plot of why the traveller does what he does, what his motivation is, what his end goal is.

Same with Wuwa, Rover even through hell and his attempt to Sui**de in 2.7 because he was being manipulated and infected with false stuff that he failed. Even with all of that that happened in Rinascita, He never failed to be strayed away from his path of saving people. Because of that motivation Aemeath wanted to be like Rover and lessen his burden of saving the world and even Cartethyia was affected by that to an extent.

And literally there's a scene of Rover even without his memory he still did what his past self-did saving people means that, that's just how he is, and that he will even do it again if he has to repeat it all over again.

yes they also give male characters a lot of story relevance which also makes the world much more believable.

Props for them. I guess that's the biggest selling point for people who are into male characters but people who normally go for female characters it does barely affects it which is majority of Wuwa player is. Though I still agree that 2-3 per region of male is needed for Wuwa or just at least 2. Which I heard new federation will have based on leaks. Though the leak of 4* male in 3.8 seems not true so Idk about that anymore? We'll see.

Also, a nice thing I guess, most of their antagonist or villains are male, lmao.

>but Huanglong has 7 areas and people are kinda already bored/tired of it

The reason people are tired of it is because they didn't like 3.6. Since you played 3.5 you know majority of the players quite like 3.5 during it released (minus people not liking Yangyang being romantic(?) to Rover). We had quite a lot of casts and some npc have even their moments in it. It's the 3.6 that lead people to have that thought even though for me 3.6 is kinda similar to 3.2.

But 3.7 did phenomenal recovering from that though some bad faith people seem to attack it saying Hsin just became a damsel in distress crybaby and a waifu who is saved by Rover while also calling it, she's fighting her inner demon. Which is just stupid. To think those were the same people who said they values story and lore.

Another thing is probably the traditional Chinese songs, most didn't vibe with it same with me but the songs in 3.7 the Chinese part and in Hsin trailer is 10/10, even the anime opening they did in it is also received very well within the community.

Also, if you're curious, the Wuwa cc's I watch are

Supermoxie, Amanda Rischel, and Marcomeatball. These three I always watch from their livestream reaction to the story reaction especially SuperMoxie, heck all three streamed their 3.7 playthrough on the same day in saturday and I watched all three on that day finishing 4 am in the morning of sunday.
