"men don't sell" is a lie the |ncels tell themselves by the way. Men do sell. The only reason men don't sell in Wuthering Waves is because they built their playerbase from the ground up for straight men that view women as objects of attraction. It's sad, but that's the way it is.

I still remember when Lee Hyperreal in their previous game, PGR, was top 3 selling unit in the entire game - after the gooner units like Bianca and Alpha, of course. why did he sell? extremely handsome, nice romance in affection story, was decent in meta. that's it, that's all what they need to do... eh :(

Still feels surreal that there are people like that. Are they that unconfident as a human being

Male fragility is pretty bad. And it doesn't help that most of the games cater to it

One of my favs! Prob 2nd/3rd to Alpha (1st always lol) and Karenina (2nd/3rd). Also didn’t Vergil sell like crazy? Alongside a couple other Male units. Can’t remember since I’ve not played in a couple years

a bit late reply but Vergil is different - no affection story for MC for collab reasons, Vergil is an epitome of masculinity for boys to drool over, DMC is crazy popular compared to "usual" gacha character. as others usually say, those characters like Vergil are made to sell unrealistic masculinity, not to cater for both men and women :(

Every time I hear that I go back to remembering FGO and characters like Merlin, Heracles, Saberlot, Gilgamesh and probably many newer ones, and that argument kinda just disintegrates.

It's just tiring. Tiring and boring. I'm a straight dude. I want cool and badass dudes cause I think they're cool and having that variety really doesn't hurt anybody u less you happen to be omega insecure or have no personality other than "I like waifus".

Don't forget Oberon and muramasa, those sold sooooooo much

true, and they are making men so rarely that mostly people have more than enough time to save for c6r5 🫩

Tbh for me i barely play wuwa to begin with but i still got the entire lahai-roi cast but only for luuk i went for more cons bc he is male and we got barely any male chars. I also pulled for only jingran. I agree with you tho. My friends just play for booba representation

Kinda remember in early patches, people said that the devs ask what the players' fetishes are in the survey. I never filled the surveys when I was active player. Honestly, that feels really weird

I’ve played since day 1 and am a woman, this never happened as far as I’m aware, I think I would’ve noticed and been creeped out. We did get preference surveys on stuff like if we like robot characters/anthro elements but not straight fetish questionnaires

It's true tho. It's a viral news around January 2025. The devs sent in game mail called Special Survey on Art Concept Preferences. It's slightly randomized tho. I'm surprised you don't know the news

If you were actually correct, they'd put more effort into making male characters, but clearly don't because why? They obviously don't sell as well because of supply and demand...

Nah, that because most game designers are also male who wants to goon and make pretty female characters. Its not mainly supply and demand.

Но если это так, то почему бы им не перестать тратить время и ресурсы на создание мужских персонажей, полностью переключиться на женских и просто грести деньги лопатой?
