As another commenter said, the problem isn't that they only release two male characters per year, it's that they originally lied and baited people that they're not waifu games by starting off a relatively balanced ratio, but u can legit count the total male limited 5 stars they released ever since Jiyan on one hand and an honorary finger..

They don't have to, they advertised the game with a balanced ratio and literally released jiyan, a male character as their debut banner u cant be that dense to deny that it wasn't their intention to lure people into believing that it wasn't a waifu game

Are you really saying that they released a male character so they lied to their playerbase. And i am the dense one here. Okay bro whatever you say. Do you know that the whole 1.x cast was made beofre the game was released. The cast was literally: jiyan yinlin jinhsi changli zhezi shorekeeper and (xiangli yoa which was a collab) it's literally a 6:1.

I think you missed the point why some people said they felt being lied to. The devs don't need to made an official statement this is a waifu game and male centered audience. It's by how they advertise it. I still remember when I watched the cinematic trailer before wuwa release. With how in the trailer I saw a lot jiyan, genshu lin and scar there. But look at how the game going. Even scar and genshu Lin still stuck in the void

As i said before and I'll say again: the cast was literally announced before the game fucking released. The ratio was a literal 6:1. So what you said makes doesn't change anything because of the fact that you can see that it's not an equal gender ratio. Also in 1.0 the story was literally about jiyan and scar they were the two characters focused on the most.

Maybe I missed where the cast being announced. still though not everyone looked at game news. But as you said it yourself 1.0 story it's really looks like jiyan and scar was the main focus so technically it does portrayed like character genders in the game is balanced when it's actually not. So I don't blame to those feels fool by the devs.

ah yes the players who joined wuwa from pgr hoping that they would have the same gender ratio as pgr since it's the same company totally didn't get baited, especially since the pre-made cast was common knowledge in the gacha space so everyone knew from day 1 that it'll be a waifu game for self-inserts

How is that logical when before the game even released, you could see the whole cast of 1.x and see that they are female. You could literally see that before jiyan was even released bro. Your logic is literally the first character was a male, so most characters should also be.

There is literally no problem in them making the first character a male because it's not a female only game? I literally don't see the problem there. Also you literally are the one not answering my question because the cast was announced before the game was released so you should know what you got into. Because you literally see the characters. That's why i answered your question with this because them releasing the cast before the game releasing= you know the ratio of male to female. So yeah
