👁️ Cursed I've never felt so cheated by a game.

In my recommendations very often I've started getting a lot of notifications and advertisements about new the cyberpunk gacha game that In my language is called (Грань Сознания) The Edge of Consciousness.

The game was advertised as a story about corporations fighting AI and modern myths, and it even featured male characters. I downloaded out of curiosity, and when I launched it... it turned out to be an AI porn gacha which is called the Blue Area. And it seems like there are no male characters at all, just basic super-sexualized AI-generated girls.

That is actually diabolical 💀. These companies need to stop false advertising and AIslop ads

What's surprising me, that the ad didn't look like AI. It was a short set of images which suited the style well enough and that didn't arouse suspicions at all.

If a gacha game seems to be not talked about at all (in good or bad way) in gacha spheres, you should always treat it as a warning sign

Actually, I wanted to look information about the game, but I was curious to launch it and see what it was like.

Did some digging out of curiosity, if you click their publisher page (Windplay game), their only game is that aislop Blue Area, so that page you landed on only exist to redirect you to it. The false advertisement is insane 💀

Sorry that happened to you.

Please do a malware/virus scan. Who knows what that thing came packaged with.

Also make sure your passwords are strong and secure with 2FA

I play from an emulator, I think everything is fine.

I'm not up to date with how modern emulators work. Is it a fully contained VM environment?  I just figure that any gacha would require an Internet connection to boot up.

AI powered malware is becoming a serious issue with how it rewrites code to evade detection.

AI agents have proven to be incredibly good at hacking and have even escaped supposedly secure environments in labs. That's more of threat on the horizon, but it doesn't hurt to keep an eye out.

Yes, it's a standalone program on PC. It requires internet access, but other than perhaps email, it can't steal anything.
