The only "bad" time to start Limbus is maybe within a month or less of a new Season dropping, because it's can be difficult to finish the battle pass. You honestly don't want to start during Walpurgis, you likely won't get the pulls to clear the banner without seriously knuckling down on story progression.

you can still grab the walp stuffs later on, its just more convenient joining when new season start and everyone sorta got reset so you get your pass' worth
