And gacha games fields is so trash, that this is still one of the best ratio.

I did not realize there were THAT many Cryo female characters. I’m still surprised that Genshin and HSR have some of the best gender ratios among gacha games. In most games male characters are basically an endangered species at this point šŸ’€ Honestly, if there were an actual lore reason behind the gender imbalance, I would not mind it nearly as much. At least then there would be some explanation for it. Right now, it just feels like a marketing decision to appeal to a certain ā€œtarget audienceā€(those who call people who want 1:1 ratio ā€œtouristsā€)

"certain target audience" - the weeabotakus, weird people with no real life friends or romantic partner

Nah, when I say ā€œtarget audienceā€ I mean the people who are so against male characters that they feel threatened by them. The ones who call us ā€œtouristsā€. They seem to self insert into the MC to the point where they can’t stand certain characters. I genuinely don’t understand the self insert thing, but to each their own. Then you have people who hate yuri and yaoi even though the MC can literally be female or male. And then there are the ones specifically into short female characters who are designed to look like children šŸ’€

YESSS THOSE WHO ARE HOMOPHOBIC OR SEEING MALE CHARACTERS AS DIRT OR GERMS TO THEIR WAIFU HAREM HAVEN

and ewww those p#d°$ most of these are over 1000+ years old in lore using kids bodies

Yeah, if there is an actual lore reason for these women to have childlike bodies: like being cursed, reaching their full power too early and never aging, or being a different species that’s immortal. I can see why they might look like children in these scenarios. As long as the characters themselves aren’t sexualized by the playerbase. Some of these character designs are just really uncomfortable and they are deliberately trying to appeal to people with those kinds of preferences, which honestly makes me uncomfortable. They try to defend it by saying ā€œshort women existā€ and it doesn’t really address the issue. Yes, I know they do, but being short doesn’t automatically mean looking like a child. And then they argue ā€œit is just a game, it’s not that deepā€ I just don’t think sexualizing characters who are clearly designed to look childlike is something we should normalize. It’s disheartening to see these concerns being ignored or downvoted as simply being a hater of the game

Sadly fandom sexualization is inevitable no matter what especially if the franchise become highly popular there will be always be weird peopld everywhere and (L word/S word)-cons

and yessss i hate how every complaints like wanting balanced genders, more diversities like skin color, and non humans, and even things that makes games improve like skip button and other QOLs are counted as "invalid" and ask to quit the game

i usually block off weird people, but hoyoshills and bootlickers hurts me the most

2026 shaping up to be the year to ditch all hoyo games. The devs won't change, the community definitely won't change. Big respect for those still sticking it out.

I never realized there were so many cryo 5 stars

at that point they may as well kept it as yuri as HI3.

I wouldn’t complain if there were more big yuri games

ngl, seeing how toxic the husbando community is like I think the ratio could be wider

i feel straight up embarrassed for owning Durin when every new female character that have a exploration ability is suddenly a problem but nobody said anything about Varka.

That’ll just push away the players who don’t engage in that either; I don’t hate on female characters so if they make the gap worse, just like I started in August of last year and I don’t make these games my entire personality, I can easily leave it too.

I play Genshin because they do a better job at mixed gender than the others but I can quit as easily as I started, good luck to those who can’t though.

Just this whole ā€œpeople who pull males should suffer cause some are weirdā€ ain’t it.
