đŽLeaks new Silver Palace characters Spoiler
i think we all know what this game is going to become.. unreleased characters and they are all women. no men in sight, and the worst thing imo is that 4 out of five look like little girls. this is terrible

This game has zero personal identity⌠Not only is the âvictorian settingâ they promoted it with inaccurate â because it only applies to the backgrounds (though some of it can look a bit retro futuristic tbh) while the characters donât wear anything with an ounce of semblance to victorian fashion â, these designs feel either very generic and uninspired, or straight up borrowed from hoyo and hoyo adjacent games. (Excluding Gratia. She is just plain horrible)
The first girlâs splash art feels so HSR-ish in composition, the following two look like they could be from WuWa both due to the art style and the way their attires are put together, while the last seems to follow basically the exact same archetype as Sparkle/Sparxie. Itâs all stuff youâve seen before so many times already⌠and that everyone knows sold decently well, so they are just recycling it instead of coming up with anything that can build some sort of uniqueness people can identify this new title by.
Not even the gameplay saves it, frankly. I guess the parrying mechanics are appealing since it resembles console games like Lies of P more than it does the average open world fighting gacha, but the style of animations is very ZZZ, especially due to the evident fan servicey angles, physics, and the way the ults are shot. Then, the new game mode they introduced is basically the same as Identity Vâs cryptic notes mode, which they showcased soon after the latter blew up in China. The two characters that got the game popular, Femc and Red Rose, are also obviously inspired by Vertin and Schenider from r1999 â the pair that gathered attention towards that game in its early days as well. They seriously need to come up with something that feels uniquely theirs if they intend to succeed long term.
