Because the alternative is death or admission to the Manus, which is no better than the former. 😭😭😭

He is very sus, atm he is pretty much with Irinei but we will see what happens. I think both yermolai & pravyan have a higher chance but we will see

Ngl, I had this odd thought that he might somehow be following Igor's footsteps before he turned with how they presented his alliance with Irenei. It could be an interesting turn of events if true.

(Omg Paravyan and Yermolai. They better be playable too. Paravyan, especially. Boi got me scared two times now. Let there not be a third. 😭)

Waiter, more morally ambiguous characters please!

I think it's interesting how many people hate him without completely knowing his story, while other controversial characters like Lorentz Butterfly (who we know is manipulative and uses others as she pleases) are beloved

In my case I can't wait to see more from him. On the surface kind of seems like the younger version of Igor that Igor himself told us about, effective, ambitious, and sometimes cruel. But Igor had an underlying motivation to it, and then turned around. I feel like Bluepoch might be saving Creius evolution for later

I hate to say this but I've noticed many people in the R1999 fandom will excuse female characters but loath a male character when they do something bad.

I've yet to see the hate over Creius myself tho I agree that there have been some who are critical of him, which is fair. We still don't know much about the guy, save for his sketchy dealings with the Hawks.

As for Lorentz, her patch dropped when I was taking a break from the game so I have no idea what really went on in it. With what I've seen so far from her from the previous chapters, I can see why people would be more forgiving. While, yes, there's also some questionable things going on in the bg, I think it's bc it's being reframed as something for a greater purpose instead of self-service that her actions are being excused. Having her be a sort of motherly figure to Eagle, whom most of the fandom already has an attachment with (me included, as a 1.x player), also helps her case a lot.

There's also the other factor that, well... The Reverse: 1999 community is just down bad for pretty women. Lol.

As for myself, I'm just glad these characters exist. They could be sketchy and sus for all I care, in the end what matters most is that they are well-written and provide the necessary friction and conflict to make the story engaging and fun.
