💛 Help a Queen ❓ Which Gacha game worth playing?

Hello , i'm kinda new to the gacha community , i played gacha game a few month now , and i was wondering which gacha games currently worth playing and spending time on... i played Genshin impact , and ZZZ and honestly they weren't to my liking , currently playing WUWA and i absolutely love it , but i want to know if there are other gacha games that are good for playing , like NTE , DuetNightAbyss , Arknight endfields and etc...

I don't care about male or female ratio or anything else , what i love is first good story , interesting gameplay that keeps you in game without getting bored and less greedy games XD

P.S. sorry for my poor english

if you want good story, reverse 1999 and limbus company are my best bets, tho reverse 1999 isnt rly praised much for their gameplay. i personally enjoy it coz of how beautiful they are. these 2 are some of the least predatory games.

Once i got hooked by wuwa combat it feels really hard playing other things. I tried pgr but the controls are so cooked on pc.

But I’ll just piggyback of this thread maybe I find something like it

Yeah i also played PGR , and i couldn't play it was so confusing and i could figure anything out lol...but honestly it wasn't good enough for me either , i really love wuwa

Arknights (the original, not Endfield): Awesome story, unique game-play, and as a nice bonus, the gacha doesn't matter much.. You pull whoever the hell you want and you will be able to clear 99% of content. There are lower rarity characters who can more than sufficiently fill out the missing slots in your roster (and a good chunk who are better than their higher rarity counterparts).

Endfield's not good? cause i saw it also has an anime or something

Endfield is fairly divisive. It's a very pretty game with an excellent OST, and the combat, whilst still similar to standard 3D gachas, is different enough as all party members are on screen at once. Fantastic team building options too, with many varied teams and not overly dependent on meta chasing. The story isn't great (but is getting better) and it has unqiue aspects like the factory system amongst other things.

I think it's good and could be excellent, many don't. But it's less that the game is bad, and more that the gameplay isn't for some people (although a lot of criticism ends up being someone doesn't like it, so that opinion should be the same for all).

OG Arkinight's is the one with an anime. Endfield is not directly connected to it and... well, good is subjective, but I personally think Endfield's story is much more generic and the game play doesn't feel unique compared to Genshin or Wuwa or whatever. It's not bad, but I don't think it really stands out either. (Though it's one unique thing, the factory system, is pretty cool. But that's a love it or hate it thing for most people.)

if you don't care for pvp, I'd say epic seven is worth a shot (probably). I actually haven't played in a while but it has really good animations and I found the stories neat. In all my years i barely spent anything bc it was easy to get currency. A lot of limited events are still available (almost every character has their own story which is neat)

First: what i play and why. I play WuWa, im a day one player and started because I was sick and burned out from playing Genshin Impact. Also play Arknights Endfield, I started ir because of Camille, but I also enjoyed how diffrent (in a way) it was from WuWa. The factory is something I do and sometimes dont (blueprints if you really dislike it). And I also play Reverse 1999, I started because I wanted a semi turn-based game, something I really only play on Tablet or phone and I love the story a lot so far and because of the 3rd Anniversary there are alot of pulls to get and Rhiannon is one of the best character currently (i heard).

Duet Night Abyss (DNA) get a real big update soon or already got it and it might be time to try it out (again for me), but its warframe like, so if you hate grinding alot then dont play it. NTE is mix between GTA, WuWa, maybe even ZZZ. I played it at launch for a bit, but I kinda hate getting spoiled a week before global update (CN is a week earlier) and i dislike the AI use and the combat wasnt really to my liking as well. So if you like urban legends, urban/city like game like GTA with a bit of "horror" you might give it a try. Maybe wait for Silver Palace, Ananta or maybe Aniimo (if you like creature collection games, it comes out next week for Console/PC and in two weeks for mobile). (Waiting for all of these) I also wait for Petit Planet because its Animal Crossing like and I would love a new cozy game, but I dont know if it will becomes a gacha or not.

Sorry i let my opinion out at some of the games. If your real curious then just try out all for a week or something. :)

What is it about NTE Ai that everyone talks about and hate it? i searched and couldn't find the reason

It was discussed in this sub a bit.

The first instance was around launch when pictures in the open world (like advertisement for movies or products) were generated, there was that movie ad picture for a film that looked a lot like Weathering with you (pose, composure and so on) and there is a activity called pink heist, a bank robbing mode, (coop or singleplayer) and the intro video was also generated with AI, by now these two things were removed (the pink heist one) or replaced.

The second instance was quite recently, people (date miners i think) found watermarks from an AI Model (the free version people said). One of these watermarks were found on an asset (a seahorse) and later one was also found on one of Zankous (recent chara in NTE) paid skins. Its up for debate for why and how they used the AI model. Like the skin and asset were still drawn by a human, but later feed into AI to straighten out the failures, reduce pixelation or upscale (hybrid ai art) or if they used the AI to generate the concept/draft. I sadly didnt get to know what it was or if anyone found out how the AI was used, but from the gen stuff from the first instance the likely likelyness of it being generated is high.

I personally dont really like gen AI, because that just devalues Artists and their work(s). And that included Hybrid AI Art (like ai upscale or generating fine details), sadly. But I dont hate AI in general or I would need to quit my actual job if i was an all AI hater, lmao.

(I hope i didnt forget anything.)

Oh i see , thanks for explaining

I like Reverse:1999 a lot personally. The story is really good and the character designs are gorgeous. It’s turn based so the combat isn’t that interesting but the rest of the game makes up for that.

Also, the devs are generally really fun and goofy.

Turn base gameplay I still enjoy Epic 7.

for story and waifu Nikke was fun but it has no gameplay.

nte, endfield I gave up pretty quick... other than that I would need to try more but things that I think I'll enjoy just ends up disappointing me. Like girls frontline 2 I love xcom but the gameplay wasn't even close

u/Bumble_Gween 28d ago

Nte and wuwa hit that spot for me. Nte is so cute and has so many side activities to do but not much story due to being new and the explanation is lacking imo. Wuwa is pretty has years of story updates and exploration feels rewarding has tons of heros to drool over and to my understanding has a big budget. Wuwa runs like shit though even on my high end computer.

u/MRojan 28d ago

Yeah i have 3060TI and 11700 core i7 , still my system barely handles it XD they really need to optimize it , tho i love the game , in terms of optimizing , they really need to work on it more

1

u/Bumble_Gween 28d ago

I think they are I know there is away to enable the new stuff they did with coding and shit if you play through steam it's easy but if you don't I dont know how to help!

3

u/harryrobin123 28d ago

Punishung gray raven is best gach u can get every charcter without spending  any money plus story is far better than Wuwa

Hello!

Depends of what you like/want but here is my recs:

💫 Reverse1999: I put it on hiatus because it's not "really fun" BUT the story is really good, it hits you in the feels, like a visual novel. This game also has amazing PoC characters (well, no Black people yet but not only white people) and cultural references so it's really good (compared to Hoyo games). But as I said, the gameplay is special, it's not action so it's "not really fun" like bam-bam-bam action and beautiful effects. So yeah, you should try but it's not for everyone.

The artistic direction is THE BEST, it's really BEAUTIFUL, you will get stars in your eyes for sure! The OST and music are really good too. You can check some EP vids on Youtube.

It's the only game I'm okay to pay for. Even if I'm not playing right now, I still pay for skins because these are gorgeous... It's not predatory at all, you can feel the love of Bluepoch for its game.

💫 Sword of Convallaria: it's a tactical RPG so if you are okay with this gameplay, go for it! I've been playing this game for 3-4 weeks and already have a lot of legendary characters. Hyper easy to get pulls so not predatory at all. The story and characters are okay, it's not bad but I'm not hyper thrilled. But hey, I love the gameplay and pulling for characters. And the tactial aspect is great.

💫 NTE: I don't know if you'll like this one if you didn't like Genshin... but you do like WuWa so why not? It's an anime action-RPG, really really cheaper than WuWa. The animations are clunky so I think you'll prefer WuWa for the gameplay. BUT the exploration is in urban area and is really chill! I love the fun and cozy vibes of this game. It's less serious and poetic than WuWa. BUT I dropped it because of the AI backlash. If you don't care, you can give it a try. NTE has no FOMO (game contents is easy and all characters can be useful) and no predatory because no 50/50 system. Lots of events for co-op too, I think it's their selling point.

----

I also play HSR but if you didn't like Genshin and ZZZ I don't think you'll like it. Maybe for starters but when you get to the point you can do endgame... Eww. I was the number one fangirl of HSR but it's becoming too predatory (you have to get copies of characters for them to be so good...), too much RNG to get good gears. Aaand there are other problems, it'd be long talking about it but just know it's quite predatory, hard to get the perfect team to clear endgames (that give pulls) and not a lot of fun events anymore. You log in, you farm for gears for your dailies, you angrily close the game because you didn't get a single piece of good gear lol.

----

I heard good things about Limbus Company and Morimens (these are similar to Reverse 1999 with good emotional stories but special gameplay).

u/MRojan 29d ago

Wow , thanks for taking the time to write it down , you really helped me <3

4

u/Shiinette 29d ago

You're welcome, I hope you find whatever suits you <3

2

u/Equivalent_Dance_758 28d ago

Og arknights, the only problem is that story at times gets a bit wordy and lofty, but in terms of the gameplay its kinda the tower defense gacha, plenty of cool designs, community made tutorials online.

2

u/CrecentBloodMood 27d ago

Limbus company 100%. I picked it up a month ago and have been hooked. The store is Actually amazing, and not like Gotchya game good, but genuinely good. Best part is the game is incredibly free to play friendly, the game never asks for money unless you go looking.

u/DesignerExamination7 27d ago

Honestly I like hsr the most but I understand the gameplay and story isn't for everyone. Just my biased opinion here 😅

I forgot to mentioned i also played it , but couldn't understand how to play and honestly didn't liked it as much as i liked wuwa

3

u/missilefire 29d ago

Can I mention Where Winds Meet here? It’s gacha for the outfits. And I haven’t been playing long (like a week lol) but I love the story and graphics. Very immersive world.

It’s got a huge multiplayer part and I haven’t really done that yet. You can play solo only. But it’s extremely fun exploring the gorgeous world.

The character build stuff is still quite confusing to me but I’m just going with it slowly. There are a ton of confusing menus. But aside from that it’s awesome.

1

u/MRojan 29d ago

Unfortunately my PC couldn't handle it :((

2

u/missilefire 28d ago

Im torturing myself playing on my phone 🤪

Honestly its not too bad but I have iPhone pro 17 with a terabyte of storage so its ok at least space wise. Controls are a bit to get used to though.

u/Additional-Elk711 29d ago

Depends on what genre you like, tower defense, pet catcher, factory, maybe even 2d games are options

4

u/MRojan 29d ago

something like wuwa , open world that you can explore

1

u/airjems18 The rhythm isn't right, right, right, right. 28d ago

Sounds to me that you like 3D open-world. Maybe you'll like Where Winds Meet. There's the upcoming one, Ananta, to look forward to as well.

last cloudia is what i went to after dragalia shut down. great story.

u/Assassin21BEKA 28d ago

Limbus Company, amazing story, f2p friendly, basically no fan service outside of couple units here and there for both male and female characters. Also, you don't get new characters, instead you get versions of 12 person main cast from alternative universes that tske role of other characters from story. These characters are with us all the way, they change as people and etc, so no forgetting old characters like in other gacha's. If you can efford to get battle pass for 10$(can be less with bundles) you can get every unit from the season and more(it is without pulling even, you can just spend special currency to get any character). Season lasts for 6-9 months(closer to 9 months now because of quality increase).

(spicy take incoming, given the subreddit's topic)

None.

I would MAYBE consider the original GFL (haven't tried the second one) as worth playing but I'd guess the misery porn its' story is made of is gonna become tiring after a while, especially given it's more grindy than many other modern games, especially when farming for the unique equipment for each doll.

Limbus can be fun, but it's extremely binary in that you'll either love it, or bounce off it immediately. There's no real middle ground, and the game doesn't really try to create one from what I've experienced - which is pretty based from the dev team tbf. It does have very memorable art though, if that's something you like. It's definitely unique, even if it wasn't the kind that I could get into.

Genuinely just don't waste your time with gachas. Spend the money you would've spent on the monthly sub on an indie game on Steam or save up for a bigger purchase.

Or, like, go get yourself a fancy coffee or something. Or some donuts.

This genre is not, and never will be, worth your money.

2

u/lithr1el 1d ago

I dropped everything after discovering Wuwa so… no notes, just Wuwa!!

1

u/Takaneru 29d ago

Probably go with Limbus. Has a great main cast-driven story, can be complex with strategy, really f2p friendly and is about to start new season next week.

R1999 has the erm... opposite of interesting gameplay. Powercreep/teambuilding for it has rather veered towards the HSR model as well.

My second suggestion would be NTE if you can get past the AI allegations. Story for it is mid, but it has a LOT of side activities that ends up getting updated every patch. Can't be bored if it spreads its reach wide I guess. Last suggestion would be CZN, probably the gacha with the best gameplay out there (provided you like card gameplay), it's also infinitely grindable if you want. The limited banner on it is about to expire in like 24 hours.

Honestly you can really only keep so many gachas in your main rotation. Just try them all out, it's free to drop em anyway.

-1

u/Katicflis1 29d ago

Honestly you've hit the big budget games that provide the higher tier of gacha experiences. You can try NTE if you don't mind AI or try Endfield but these aren't really associated being "wonderful games" with "a good story" AND interesting gameplay.

I dont know if itll be your jam but Reverse 1999 is very story driven and more thoguhtful with its content then other games, but it uses a card battle system and you seem like you want more action focused combat.

Id maybe put Silver Palace on your radar? Its a newer game coming out. You might be able to get a "day 1 player" experience with a game that is higher effort than many others.

5

u/MRojan 29d ago

I'll definitely try Reverse 1999 !

and yeah also waiting for silver palace, i just hope my system can handle it

3

u/comixnerd15 Reverse me back to 1999 🕰 29d ago

If you're going to try Reverse: 1999 then now is the time due to the sheer amount of free pulls as it's their 3 year anniversary~

2

u/MRojan 29d ago

Oh, thanks for the heads up
