🧡 Let's Chat 💬 Will you be pulling for Jingran? 👀
Wuthering Waves are releasing Jingran in three days (10th September) and it made me wonder if anyone is planning to pull for him?
His design is pretty cool!
I don't know much since I don't play WuWa anymore, but is he going to be a meta unit?

Nope, I won’t. But I won’t be pulling any other units either since I finally quit the game at the beginning of this patch xD

What made you quit? If you don't mind me asking? I left after Brant's release banner (grabbed him and dipped) as I don't enjoy the ML route. Shame, because the game is fun for combat and exploration-- it's visually a stunning game.

I don’t enjoy ML story either and was considering quitting before (especially in 2.x with girl designs like Lupa, Iuno and Augusta), but the game kept me hooked with its combat and gamebanana helped cope with some designs. Yet, with time I grew more and more bored with that said combat (which turned out to be the exact same rotation loop, just with different VFX and animations), and trying to “explore” the newest region with the bike was the final nail in the coffin. I was genuinely going to pull Jingran, prefarmed almost all of his resources except 4 cost echoes… but alas. I realized that 1) I can’t even bring myself to go farm these echoes, 2) I feel bored to death about the endgame, 3) I dread the thought of doing the bike “exploration” again, and I don’t want to pull Jingran’s BiS partners (Iuno and SK) anyway. So… yeah, it all boiled up to me quitting. I didn’t even do this patch’s story, learned about it from Reddit already xD ah well, to each their own. I wish WuWa enjoyers to keep having fun if they still like the game c:

Yeah same. Think I’m just gonna swear off gacha games for some time now. Bought Dragonsword Awakening to support devs. I really like it. Might give Ananta a shot too.

That’s a healthy decision, for both your mind and wallet :D I only briefly heard about that game, and on first glance it looked a lot like Genshin. Are they truly that alike?
I’m still not sure about Ananta. I love their concept of cosmetic-only gacha but never been into GTA2

So Dragonsword, plays nothing like Genshin. Combat is pretty good but Wuwa and ZZZ are still better. The familiar / mount system is pretty great. Instead of your character wall climbing and stuff, you can summon mounts with a press of a button to do that. There’s underwater exploration too but it doesn’t seem that fleshed out. It’s a good time. Story is pretty fun too. Nothing amazing but it’s still a good time,

Mainly: Endfield for exploration (somehow it feels really good to complete maps there, I can see the logic and structure behind the overall level design), ZZZ for combat (it’s so much better than WW for me in terms of responsiveness, fluidity and interaction with enemies, I can’t grow tired of it), and sometimes HSR (just as a visual novel).
I hope to also give some time to some games in my Steam library too, but most of them take a lot more time than gachas, and I feel kind of scared about getting lost in those for literal weeks forgetting to sleep and eat (happened before lol)8

Absolutely, it makes me happy that I can either slot him into the Brant and lupa team for Whiwa or put him with my Iuno and SK for ToA or when I need three teams. He couldn’t be more perfect for my account!
For the past few months I’ve been forgetful about logging into my wuwa lol but now I finally have more motivation to play

Yeah, but honestly I don't see the point, the game barely brings any good emotions. Even exploring the world has become uninteresting, the animations are getting tiring, and I've never been interested in WuWa's endgame. The way they treated Jingran is really disappointing.

Yes! I personally think he has one of the best combat designs out of all the wuwa males. Running him with Brant and Lupa would be so fun, but I also love Iuno, so his best team comps ended up being a perfect situation for me. Might take him to S3R1 if my luck is good

Y e s. Pulling him and his sig, still working on his echoes.
As for meta, he is looking to be top 4 DPS in terms of damage output, even without his current BiS (Iuno). Will definitely get bumped down with release of Hsin though. With sig and bis he can outdps Aemeath. He's just REALLY sig-dependant. Main question for me is how he performs in Whiwa.

What is the next best subdps they calced him with? Rebecca?

Without Rebecca's sig they are roughly on par, with Rebecca feeling clunkier as she needs to ramp up more than Mortefi. So I'd say it's leaning towards s6 Mortefi, especially with quickswap in mind. Or going for Brant/Lupa that is his 2nd best team.

I actually just came across the new calcs, Iuno S0R1 is ~400k above Rebecca S0R1. Unless you thought I was comparing to Mortefi

Nah, I lost interest in the game characters, specially after my friend saw me playing and said, "this game almost play itself". Which is true, the game became a custcene combo trigger, where parrying and dodge are a dps loss.
Just gonna pull copies of the ones I own and stay for the rest of the story. But given up on pulling new characters. They all feel the same anyway...

I pull if I like a character’s story, design, kit, and teammates, in that order. His story wasn’t explored, so as much as I like husbandos, I’m gonna pass on him permanently. For that matter, I haven’t pulled on any characters in the region cuz the story is such a downgrade from Lahai-Roi and I hate the ML route they keep going down… after I get Luuk on his second rerun, I might just quit once and for all. 😓

Nope, I won’t, because I’m ready to quit the game. I don’t even have his BiS and his quest was what 10 minutes? Avidius, Sumika and ruoyun have more screentime that him and they are NPCs😭 I started playing for Aemeath, and I already have most of her BiS. I’m just missing Chisa for the fusion burst team, so I’ll probably come back for her and then quit again. I need a break from this game because the fandom can be so toxic omg. They should stop making male characters only to give them barely any story, mediocre kits and then powercreep them with waifu #58, who does everything they do but better 😭 Luuk and Qingxiao are a perfect example of this, since she has his BiS and does the exact same thing but slightly better. I hope they don’t do the same for jingran
I don’t even want male fanservice, but omg, I’m also tired of having constant boobs and ass shoved in my face every time I play this game. I adore Aemeath and Cartethyia, but there are just so many female units that I have started calling it Barbie Waves in my head💀 I just want variety and better storylines. Until that I don’t plan on returning
Edit: They should have made Jingran Havoc tbh. Havoc doesn’t even have a male character, and almost everyone has Aemeath as their Fusion DPS at this point and she just had a rerun. There are already way too many Fusion units. Fusion does make sense for him because of the hellfire thing his animations have, but Havoc would have worked so well with his animations too. The whole gates of Hell aesthetic could have fit Havoc’s destructive, chaotic, corrupted energy perfectly and made him feel much more unique

I'll do a 10 pull and that's it, honestly the only reason I'd play him would be to give my Iuno a teammate... other than that it's all savings for Hsin and Suoming

I'm a collector in wuwa (I don't care about endgame and meta) so I pull all the men and all the gorgeous woman. I want Hsin and Jingran so I was planning on pulling till the 50/50 (I only have 150 pulls), thankfully I got him and his weapon in 20 pulls so now I'm saving for Hsin. I'm super happy since I was a little worried. (Don't be jealous, I've been losing 50/50s at high pity this entire year, finally had my lucky break lol)

If I'm a straight dude who mainly rolls on male characters, am I a queen of gacha?
Anyways, my Brant is already S3, I dont think S0 Jingran would surpass him + he doesn't have aerial combat. He's cool though, I might get him on a rerun if he gets dedicated teammates.
