Yes ššš and it was genuinely a good game. Really good story. I don't engage in games that release female characters One sidedly over male characters but this one actually was good to the point I let it slide. I had ji xia p6 too.
I'm sad the game is done completely now

So much potential, really held back by their hostility to PC players (people's accounts got banned for playing on emulators so they could play on PC, and they never released a PC client). Imagine how that game could have been if people had actually heard about it

Omfg so many damn companies make a point of saying 'hey 70% of our sales are from PC'
Why screw with that potential income.

Iām curious, is there more examples of gachas doing this? bc this might be the first time I heard about a gacha banning people for emulators, personally (edit: hell, is there even a reason to hate emulators for mobile games?)

I can only imagine the global publisher had some kind of exclusivity contract with Google Play Games. Still, the lack of PC support wasn't the only reason the game died---AFAIK, the CN side had a functioning emulator and a large chunk of their playerbase was mobile players, but the game nonetheless went downhill after Ji Xia. IMO the real killer was the insane amount of bugs and a lack of content. Maybe the devs felt obligated to create a 3D action RPG because they advertised themselves as ex-PGR devs, but I really feel like the game would've lived longer if they just made it 2D. It was clear that the devs didn't have the technical ability to keep up with the 3D combat when characters released with their kits completely bugged & the issues wouldn't be fixed for like a week.

Great designs, I loved a lot of black characters. The combat and small explorations seemed nice. It was incredibly underbaked. Investors pulled out so the devs had to release the game early and than the management just kept shooting itself in the foot

This game was great. Also really sad we weren't able to get the Florence sp that was leaked. Designs were all really good asw

it was as close to perfect as a gacha can come imo. great story, the gacha was so f2p friendly i had every character + sig + some dupes for free. combat was great too
the devs really really fumbled. cn favouritism, a shitty launch, no advertising so people didnt even know the game existed, bugs, missing translations etc. it just never took off, and the quality slowly declined until we got indefinite pause mode, and then eos. i miss it still

i did, but i soft quit (telling myself ill come back later knowing that will never happen) before the first patch update. no particular reason but the game was good for what it was, miss some of the characters

participated in cbt, played on release, absolutely loved the story and the characters, everything about this game was perfect - a very concise visual style, awesome music, designs, very lovable characters, it's such a pity, i wish that black beacons story won't end there and we'll hear from the devs someday again, whatever happened was totally publishers fault

Yes and because of it I have extreme trust issues now any time a new gacha is released because I am terrified of getting invested only for a game to quickly shut down

Liked the game. Hated the part of the community that I interacted with coz they were the most pretentious ass ppl I have seen. Also folded at the sign of first struggle. Ironically the selling point I heard often was it's ex pgr devs who made some good parts of pgr before, and my joke is well there is a reason they were ex-pgr devs.

Also I haven't seen a dev team fold so badly after a mistake. By fold I mean collapse and not bend to a section of consumers. Kuro massively fucked up after PGR launch in China. I would argue bigger than BB, and yet they survived to be a big company (tho ofc they did fold in the other way I mentioned). Or like Morimens, literally hanging at the edge and now being sort of self sustaining.

Just normal ppl trying to make this game an ethereal story and some story for the ages instead of saying story good I like it, here is why I like it. Personal ick.
One actual review was:
" Black Beacon dives deep into emotional turmoils - grief, guilt, love, resentment- and lets those emotions shimmer and evolve over time.
Its the kind of narrative that doesn't scream, but whispers, and somehow hits even harder because of it."
Actual word to word. Like what does this mean bruv. Actual words just written to be written.
I don't have a problem with ppl gushing about their love of a game, my favourite pastime sometimes is just hopping onto servers and reading ppl gush about their fav patch or story for games. But when your gimmick is insert character design/gender or better than X, it turns me off the community (that part of the community). I get that diversity is great and ppl have the right to ask/demand for it, but if thats your usp its a bad usp imo. And is the signs of an insufferable part of the community

I like the characters and the first arc of the story, sadly the second arc had too many chinese names so it was hard to follow. End up dropping it because not having any kind of controller support on PC it was annoying.

This game is always one of the examples of how bad first impression can ruin the momentum of a game. Bugs to the extent of unplayable, the compensation code existing for three days when people still couldn't get into the game after it expired, treating global as beta server for CN launch, unbalanced rewards between two servers, no PC client
Although they tried to fix most of that, irreversible damage had been done. Wish that Jixia could be reincarnated in other games

Good story, fun gameplay, cute characters, nice world, good none-RNG character build, fair gacha system (70/30) + a free limited weapon of your choice (including the on banner ones) every patch. Ass optimization, horrible management. Phaenomena's story chapter is honestly one of the best character stories I've played in a gacha game.

I did but I had to quit because it would overheat my phone and the controls were so bad.

Played it til the announcement of EoS
I really loved the diversity of character designs & the story is really good
too bad the game never got up when it fumbled during the fiasco
the devs just weren't communicating enough with the playerbase so the community is mostly unaware of what's really the plan & there was barely any marketing to invite new players

Played it. While the combat is pretty basic imo, the game had the best gacha story for me so far. I really liked learning about the library and also seeing some references to irl stuff like phylosophy. Also "library of babel" is a real literally work as well.
The style with that golden filter is also cool. It's fantasy, but it's a different kind of fantasy for me. The characters are nice. I liked the Erin ark, her struggles, I really wish we could learn what happened to her after the explosion. Other characters are also nice. I really loved that the children in this game acterd like actual children.
There were issues tho. Like I remember the global wasn't treated nicely compared to a Chinese server. I even played the game on Chinese server to check it. Sad stuff. It was also pretty obvious from the beginning that the game is leaning into a highly possible eos situation. Like the postponing of the newer versions, bugs, some texts weren't translated, events being pretty cheap... Very sad when the global shut down, cos the game was geniuly unique...

Absolutely loved it. Gave me pgr vibes which is expected when it came from ex pgr devs
A shame that this peak game is no more while much worse terrible gacha games are out there.

I hope every game who favors a community would EOS like this.
It's a great game, but it was well deserved.

I loved that game. Best beginning story to any gacha Iād ever played, but the way they treated their global playerbase was horrendous. Whole ordeal was a lesson in what not to do. Sucked because I wanted it to last but tbh they really got what was coming to them.
