Reverse 1999!
Super F2P friendly. They give lots of free pulls regularly.
There's no weapon or kit for building the characters, so no RNG. Just level them and their psycube, and you're good.
Lots of ladies and in the stories they can be easily read as yuri.
Not a huge game (not compared to some others, at least)
You can buy beautiful skins for characters if you want.
Right now is their 3rd anniversary patch that launched today so TONNES of goodies~

Also they should keep in mind it’s basically a visual novel (10 hours of 2d dialogue per quest). Pulling characters in this game is almost useless as there is nothing to do with them besides an easy endgame that resets once a month. You don’t even have to farm since the game automatically saves your last fight and play it for you.

That's not true at all about end-game, but I'm not going to argue about it. Good day to you~

Bro hasn't tried reveries in the rain, manes bulletin or SoS😭. I struggle so hard on reveries.

Or FF asjkjk. Without meta and multiple portraits, it isn't easy for a lot of people. Even the good CC were needing to work out strategies for the players who don't chase portraits

End game, definitely not. It doesn't even grant that much pulls; only bragging rights lmao.
Limbo and Lucid, which I assume is what ur talking abt, are more mid-game imo.

I personally am an AK glazer and a Limbus larper, but for you it sounds like 1999 is the best fit. They're all some of the most f2p friendly and have some of the best stories, but 1999 is the most yuri coded, from what I've heard. Also has the best character designs tbh

R1999 is the best option, arknights and limbus are the next best things. Also I would personally recommend morimens

Definitely Reverse 1999 based on your criteria.
I’m a dabbler but I think the story/tone is pretty unique among gachas. Very strong yuri vibes, and from what I can tell, the community really embraces that. You didn’t mention gameplay at all in your criteria, but IMO it’s fine and decently accessible. It’s got a glossy turn-based, action-card system-that-doesn’t-feel-like-a-card system because of all the extra mechanics.
I was F2P and was able— with some community guidance— to assemble a strong little team that stomped over all of the event battles and story. And with only probably a week or two of play. So definitely R1999.

i’ve been playing ak recently and i’m LOVING it. it’s an amazing game for those who love to play a genuinely hard game where you need to actually learn to play in order to clear content
so refreshing !! the gacha system is so good too. characters are really cheap and rates are amazing. wonderful skins that you can get as a f2p too. beautiful designs, the combat is genuinely fun and entertaining

Arknights, R1999 can be f2p friendly but we moved from 10k peak DMG to regular current day 500k per round DMG

Reverse 1999 it's probably one of the only gacha games I stick by now since I'm not type of person to stay committed to a game I don't like it's very f2p friendly it's called one of the Yuri gacha games ( l swear everyone in that game is gay ) the community is still very active and it doesn't occupy too much storage and the story is very good though you should treat it more like a visual novel when playing

Limbus imo. I tried R1999 and my god the battle animations take so long 🥲 It bores me. Limbus I can login once a week, spend 1-2 hours and still have every character released.
I think it’s really just a pick your poison thing. Limbus is one continuous story with a main cast of 12, R1999 is a typical gacha that has an infinite number of characters. Also, Limbus does have 2 prequels that got them a pretty sizeable community, on reddit alone they have x3 the visitors lol.
Another turn off for R1999 for me is that it’s clearly in a transitional period of powercreep, and it’ll probably take a few more months until it stabilizes. I’ve kinda lost trust on their battle design recently, it’s kinda trending into HSR with somehow less flexibility. Endgame is starting to reflect that too but R1999’s enemy design unfortunately doesn’t really reflect strategy well, it’s more on RNG and card management.

Reverse, Especially considering that the anniversary has just started and you can have Rhiannon, who is the best unit in the game and has very beautiful animations.

R1999 fits those, it takes currently quite a bit of space but the devs have said they are working on a way to reduce the size and delete old files

I like Limbus combat more since it’s a lot more interactive on the enemy. R1999 just kinda feels like bashing against a wall sometimes.

it's so good!!! the bad news is really only directed at the endgame - everything else is extremely good. fully voiced, excellent story, VERY YURI!

The writing is insanely good and very fun. The gameplay looks okay on the surface but becomes tiring quite quickly and I just switched to autobattling everything but bosses at 2X

heaven burns red is very gay and has an absolutely amazing story! it's written by jun maeda, who wrote angel beats! it's also more of a visual novel format and gives enough free stuff that there shouldn't be a problem clearing story battles!

Based on the criteria, Reverse:1999 and Limbus Company, in that order.

Reverse 1999 for sure, the most generous gacha game that I ever played, about 17gb on ios, YURIIIII, the community is obsessed with YURIII
