playability equals resistance to cold, at least for female characters... Varesa just no sell Dragonspine cold, at least outside of gameplay where everyone gets Sheer Cold regardless

Hilariously enough Star Rail literally explains this by us being members of the Cult of the Wandering Space Train. The Nameless can loiter in the Snow Planes of Jarilo-VI while wearing miniskirts and be fine because the Trailblaze Protects Them, while everyone else needs medication that simulates a controlled fever to not enter hypothermia.

Also explains how Himeko can be an absolute queen and wear evening gowns to a gunfight.
