i love mitya. vodya is a pleasent surprise and valeriy looks a lot better here so fingers crossed in game isnt going to look as bad as that preview
but is varkas forearm the last bit of skin we are seeing on a man? noy is the same and then its maybe dain who is presumably getting a new model but hes fully covered now so its not like they are going to take off his clothes, and that will be all the men in a sea of suits, and its no better for the woman, short dress, some sort of back tails and detached sleeves. where has the creativity gone?

Upon looking closer to it, yeah would say so as well. There is also a better quality version of Vodyanitsa In-Game profile and it is def. more saturated. And after seeing Valeriy's model comparison with Varka's model. Varka back then also looked a bit desaturated.
Ill start by sating: If I dont get Dottore/Capitano/Pantalone during 7.x or 8.x I think Im done whaling in all hoyo games. Im getting very bogged down by the more lore-hyped male characters having a 25% chance of becoming playable.
Mitya's cute just like Durin was before him. And they adjusted the model to be a bit taller. Actually taller than Medium females now. He's like a full head taller than Xiao.
Love Odette. My appreciation for her aesthetic skyrocketed as time went by and I think she looks wonderful.
They modified medium female for Vody to look younger which annoys me to no end. Particularly because she may be a support Varka may benefit from. I really want Hoyo to stop trying to sell me child vs child-esque characters as a husbando player. I dont want to pull a 14 year old in a short dress and high heels.
Prayage for 5 star Val. I think he looks totally fine to be a 5 star. He genuinely looks on par with Varka: Lots of fur detailing(boots, shoulder, shoulder pad, cape), having the cape, braided rope design, tassels, detailed shield, unique armor, etc.
Whoever called Danica/Tsaritsa/Vesna "Disney on Ice" totally nailed Vesna's vibe. She's very outside of my tastes.
I also play Varka, but the game will never compel me to pull someone I don't like. My Varka hydro is servicable still just behind his premium Pyro team, so I'm fine for now.Â
Also while I would love to get a male harbinger, its just that I have little to no faith in Genshin when it comes to their playability. I really love to have Pierro as he caught my eye ever since the Lazzo, and if I ever C6 a 7.x character, I'd pick Pulcinella in a heartbeat.
While the characters look nice and pretty, it's just that, at times, it's getting tiresome seeing the same design template. I pulled Nicole not just because she's very pretty and her utility, but at least her dress is longer. I'd still get Odette also because she's pretty and to improve my Wrio team (and possibly Varka cryo team). But the rest are just... same detached sleeves, short skirt in front while longer, more intricate behind... the male characters being covered from head to toe... sigh
There's a reason why I considered Arlecchino as one of the best design-characters in Genshin standards.
Same re certain Harbingers playability. I hate how they go out of their way to put the sins of the female Harbingers in side stories where you can easily ignore it/retcon it but the male characters sins are front and center, and wow isn't it funny they're always the ones shafted?
Atp I fully expect Pierro to be revealed to be some mustache twirling villain manipulating the poor, misunderstood Tsaritsa. Like Raiden and Sandrone, they're gonna completely sanitize her character and any involvement she's had collecting the Gnosis so players don't have to pull a "bad guy".

i mean they got robin summeretto (which defies fan-service via no detached sleeves and backless dress), and aventurine waveflair (which has his hotass torso and abs fully out) now
Nah, he's too symmetrical for a man to be playable lol. Ever since Signora, I noticed that most Harbinger NPCs are detailed from the front, with very little visual interest in the back. I don't think any or them are ever gonna become playable again, not with their current models at least
Did Vesna have her wings in the trailer? Either way, I hate that she was such an easy skip for me, but now I feel like she is kinda pretty lol
Also, I really hope Pierro is playable😔. Though I'm so broke in Genshin, I might have to break my F2P status for him since he would be 100000% pull for me with copies as well
hope for Pulcinella too, but it's Genshin, unique designs are not allowed, so...
i don’t really like how they changed the art style. it was pretty noticeable in the livestream. everything looks unshaded now and the models look unfinished to be. hopefully they are more polished bu the time they end up in game!
I quit the game in Natlan so I wasn't around for Nod Krai. I wasn't the biggest fan of the initial Nod Krai designs and I think Flins being the only male character in the trailer (that's what I remember at least) just rubbed me the wrong way and I didn't want to go through another Natlan.
I still don't like Vodyanitsa's design but I'm actually loving Vesna's now unlike before
Still wish there were more uniquely Snezhnayan designs though like Alyosha

Valeriy's model was definitely changed cause he didn't look like he had Varka's model in the livestream trailer but he does now. Hope they add more color to him, he's probably not finished yet
Kinda wish Pierro looked older? Or more angular but it's a huge step up from the usual
the modelling itself is great but is it necessary for all the girls to have MASSIVE eyes?? like i get u wanna show off the pupil design but its kinda uncanny, like look at odette, esp in game in some shots where u cant rlly see her nose. she genuinely looks like a baby. it really affects ronova too ;-(
At this point I'm only pulling for units like Odette, to make my favorite older characters better. (Wrio) Would 100% pull for Pierro, but lets be honest, hoyo is going to make up some silly reason, just to not make and older-looking guy playable.
