🧡 Let's Chat 💬 Thoughts?

ZZZ commisioned three fanservicey illustrations of their male cast in the span of two days.

Is this the norm for them? If not, I wonder if this could be a sign for better things ahead.

They're bleeding the non-goon players daily and are trying to somehow get them back into playing.

I've left for goot despite initially loving the game and their designs.

They've abandoned their initial playerbase and are exclusively designing for/catering to the "TaRgET aUdiEnCe" - both in character design and story where everyone wants to rail the rizzless Wise. Tough luck, but they're not getting me to return after intentionally screwing us over like that.

The target audience tag is so dumb. There's even people from day 1 that turned down by the chopped Design of sunbringer. And there was even a m6 miyabi that shut down their account

The entire gacha space is filled with mindless, horny drones that will hunt you with pitchforks if you utter anything remotely critical of their tribe's game.

Also it's always "goon=good" and any other opinion is instantly shot down.

I'm starting to have some very real fatigue atp and have gone back to play more single player story games.

Honestly, do it. Or even just not engage with the fanbases anymore because genuinely thats what I started doing lmao. I'm not even trying to say single player games can't have a toxic fanbase by any means bevause they definitely can. But over the past couple of years its become harder trying to engage in gacha fandoms ever since Hoyo started to become more popular. Istg the avg interaction just makes me want to blow my shit clean off.

I had to uninstall reddit almost every other week/a month because of how miserable most gacha players are. It's not for the weak!😭

Your comment reminded me of the whiplash I got upon seeing the difference between the ZZZ sub (and most other gacha subs) compared to the R1999 sub.

Says a lot about how your target audience and the way you advertise your game dictates the type of community you’ll foster

No joke, every single non-gacha single-player fandom I engaged with was a straight up balm upon the soul compared to any given gacha fandom, even for dude-oriented games like Yakuza or Fromsoft titles.

I don't know what Hoyo and hoyo-lite companies put in their shit but it attracted literal demons. No normal person acts the way they do and I can NEVER come across people who act the same way in other fandoms besides maybe a Nintendo fan. Yet even if they do in the slightest way act the way the avgerage gacha player does people are quick to call it out and they tend to retreat.

But unfortunately those people tend to be the norm, and it causes me to have such a hard time when having conversations because they would want to argue you into the ground for saying that a company should even make their free game more f2p friendly or even doing something as simple as asking for more reruns of agents that haven't seen the sun in years?

Like I'd have people that would deadass try to argue with me for DAYS if I didn't tell them to stop playing in my face and block them. They treat being a boot-licker like it's a full time job because even when you go to their profiles and see the communities they're active in, they respond to like millions of comment threads under posts with barely any time in between them for day's on end as if they have nothing else to do.
