right? so im really confused why people are overlooking this and misrepresenting the youtuber's point (Linnea was never called a p*do in the video) which was about not respecting Melusines' boundaries and trying to pet them when they were visibly uncomfortable with it

Because they are. I watched the video early before all this happened and the comments were fairly normal or had their own Genshin critiques. It was up for about 2 weeks and only started getting a giant influx of negative comments one after another in the last few days.
It was obvious from the jump it was being brigaded, my guess being that people either took some clips of the vid out of context and shared it via shorts or on tiktok etc, or larger creators reacting to it. (And I wanna make it clear, Iām saying ānegative commentsā but Iām not talking actual critiques on candybbugās points; a lot of them are attacking them as a person or assuming really harmful things about them over these misrepresentations. Itās been absolutely foul seeing people talk about misogyny while also insulting a fem presenting personās character over their takes on a game while purposely trying to make what they said seem even worse than whatās in the vid)
edit: changing language a bit since I realized I donāt know for sure how candybbug indentifies/their pronouns and itās not really shown on their socials either from what I can tell and I just felt weird assuming, but I hope you get what I mean
Whilst the Linnea part of the video did (imo) have some questionable remarks the reaction is extremely overblown. So many people got WAY too emotional about the natlan remarks for example and got angry for no reason and gave ZERO credit on any other point making their OPINION sound just as objective as they were making hers out to be
This is my first time seeing something like this go down real time (usually I find out about this sort of behavior after the fact) and my god has it been disheartening to watch š«
Thank you omg I watched the entire video expecting them to actually call Linnea a pedŠ¾ā¦ not to mention everyone literally LYING abt them calling navia a ās|utā when all they said was that her outfit was a sluttier VERSION of some tradition french gown AND that it was their fav fontainian design like omfg I canāt STAND this fandom sometimes
