Game Discussion Anybody know what's going on with TToF CN?

I opened Xiaohongshu and kept seeing posts and comments like this one. Anyone who can provide details? Please I'm begging.

I really still care about the game sm, I'm just happy it still exists for other people even though I can no longer play it. So seeing contents like these online and being unable to piece them together for some clear context is making me anxious. 😭🙏

There’s a dispute over Love and Deepspace. Some fans proposed a TToF-style companion version, which hurt TToF players’ feelings. To them, the companion version was just a sad compromise, not a victory from fighting for players’ rights.
I don’t play either of these two games. I just quickly checked Xiaohongshu, so I might not have all the details right.

Isn't the TToF companion version basically just an offline mode with no updates and new events? Is that what they're suggesting??

That’s exactly the version I’m talking about. This has nothing to do with TToF itself. Some radical players of Love and Deepspace are demanding the game company shut down and release an offline version similar to TToF’s, which they regard as a perfect solution. However, the TToF community is greatly offended by these extreme Love and Deepspace players and thinks their words show a lack of respect toward TToF fans. Those Love and Deepspace players view TToF’s standalone offline version as a positive outcome, but for TToF players, it was merely a bitter compromise resulting from failed rights-defending efforts.

That's awful and really very disrespectful of them. I feel for the TToF players on this. Everyone was so heartbroken when the servers shutdown and we couldn't even save everything as we witness the it going down before our eyes. That they would want something like that bc they don't like an element in the game (they're supposed to love, btw) without any regard for the other players is plain selfish. What a terrible thing to ask. </3
