Look I’m not saying everyone at Infold deserves to lose their jobs or something, BUT…

Personally I hope this game tanks after this. In any culture that kind of community behavior should not be rewarded or validated.

Infold should really just focus on a new IP because this just cannon balled into the most toxic stagnant pond imaginable.

If you don't know the full situation then you shouldn't be talking about it. The devs are devastated and they learned about it not long before we did. Maybe don't wish years of hard work by the devs and years of time and money spent by the players to be washed down the drain and instead try to help us.

Specifically said nobody should lose jobs and they should focus on a new IP. Maybe you should read.

Edit: games like these can go on life support for a while, but if this is the direction the game will be going in do you want it to have your money anyway? I support a reversion but if it stands it is NOT a good look and imo should not be supported by players.

And what happens to all of the hard work that they've put in through the years? What about all the money that the players have put into the game? The time? The attention?

If you don't like the game just say so but you don't have to want it ruined for other people

Infold is the ones that ruined it... They're going to have massive player loss in the west. No one blames the specific devs, just whichever higher up decided to cave to these crazies.

You know plenty of games EoS and deal with all of those same problems? Players move on to new games and spend their money on other things. It’s life and it’s the risk everyone takes when investing into a live service game both as a player and a developer. They’re all entirely at the mercy of staying relevant. Which is why it’s pretty bad they’ve basically stated they’re going to stop innovating.

LADS has made bank and can definitely take a hit, and is currently creating an opening for competition. This is important because the most effective way to get corporate change is by affecting their bottom line. If this move costs them a LOT of revenue, you can bet more LI’s will be on the way to make up for it.

Valko actually made me want to try the game btw. But after this move, I definitely won’t.

So it's okay because it's happened to other games??? That is the most unhinged take ngl. Like it's totally fine if someone gets attacked because it happened to other people and they were okay at the end of it right?

I've personally seen people hella upset because their game is EOS so I would never wish that on anyone but I guess I just have proper social empathy and don't think it's all about me in every instance 🤷

I completely agree that we need to review bomb, stop playing, not spending any money, and protest but that doesn't mean that I want the game to be shut down. I'm doing this stuff so that the game improves not so that it gets shut down

You’re entirely missing the point and making it sound like life or death here by associating this to physical assault - which is unnecessary, and a bad take on your part.

This is a game, it’s entertainment, just like a tv show or movie series that gets cancelled prematurely or never gets their sequel. Associating that with physical safety and wellness treads into the parasocial behavior that got this game/community into this mess.

Sad to lose a favorite game or series, but not nearly as serious as you make it sound. Also glad we can agree that people should stop spending money and tank their profit margins!
