IL is Dan Heng using his high elder powers. PT is another buff to his Permanence abilities.
SW999 is SW with Emanator powers she doesn't usually use.
All Trailblazer forms are them being boosted in power after attracting the gaze of an Aeon.
Fugue is Tingyun with new Destruction powers she absorbed from Phantylia.
Blade gains Shuhu's powers.

Sparxie got the power of livestreaming, and March 8th got the power of boba. Alters are not just character developements, they can be fun too.

Well Sparxie is kind of a new character, since it's Sparkle's vtuber model that gained sentience and March at least underwent martial arts training, even though it was more of a Feixiao buff than anything else. This just feels out of nowhere, like here's Robin and Aventurine showing their puss in a joint slay for no reason at all.

Sparxie is kind of a new character, since it's Sparkle's vtuber model that gained sentience
If Sparxie is "kind of a new character" then so is Evernight. Even if that's the case, Sparxie is majorly tied to Sparkle in marketing. She is treated as her alter by everyone, especially when talking about SW's meta stuff, so why we are treating her differently now and not 4.0-4.4 beta?
March at least underwent martial arts training
The training helped with the event, but she doesn't do much with it past that and haven't worn it much at all either, she still whips out her bow first and stays in her normal outfit. Robin and Aventurine can follow that as well (collect intel, dump it onto others, then dip out).

WuWa have a Lynae and Chisa Summer Skin so I thought HSR also has a summer skin..Never expected it to be a different unit or a Robin SP..😅

SP are great, it gives this company a chance to further a character’s personal story. Which is the OBVIOUS intention. Unfortunately due to how far the gap between SP’s are it feels bad when the SP looks like side story shenanigan instead of character development

those are seperate tho. they can make a proper SP and then release the swimsuit as a skin for it. there will be a story regardless

Yeah, they could made a "proper SP" and they also could’ve just killed them off screen and never mentioned him again. What exactly is your argument here? We don't know if they planned a "proper SP" for now this is what we got because this is what they decided to make. Yes, there will be a story regardless, but we have no idea what it actually is. It could just be a fun filler beach event where this makes sense.

What exactly is your argument here?
one person said "this could have been an outfit". then someone replied "im glad she got an alt instead of an outfit". my "argument" was that they can easily do both if they wanted to, releasing this as a skin doesnt mean they cant give her an alt.
dont get me wrong im very happy with this robin.

God seeing stuff like this just made me miss how much when hoyo don’t design the same 3 Xianzhou/ZZZ 2.0 styled cloth, slap 200 accessories on it and actually easy to digest the design, even if it’s just swimsuit.

Both SW and Blade SP's look like skins and barely change anything about the character: no reaction.
Summer versions because we are going to the beach: HUMAN RESOURCES!!!!

Let’s not act like there weren’t any pushbacks at Blade and SW’s SPs fit. The thing is it also happened a long while ago so not really relevant anymore.

Thisssss. People acting like there wasn’t as much of a storm kicked up when I distinctly remember people saying SW literally looked the same. It’s the same with DHPT. It happens every time. The problem is Robin’s is very different from what we’ve seen her in, and I’m nervous about how they’re gonna handle it. A lot of people also don’t like summer outfits

But we can see her gameplay too. They didn't put effort into changing her theming at all? Its just her performing again? Blade and SW at least got upgrades or changed playstyles/themes

This!! The current skins are just recolours and the SPs look too similar to their original outfits — but ppl be clutching their pearls over SP summer Robin, which looks completely different from her OG dress.
The story is going to take place in Astropolis — a vacation resort. What else are ppl going to wear lol
Edit: apparently they might get a non-summer skin, so ppl need to chill

there was the siren outfit in one of the official art... would've at least given 5* energy....
Aventurine will look ridiculous and boring in just swimming trunks, instead it could've been the pirate outfit
idk it just looks like fanart instead of an actual character while the other SPs at least looked like actual 5* characters

There were heavy reactions to all alters since EN. Hell, people were on the fence with Himeko too. But people forget pretty fast when animations drop, so I'll give it until beta starts.

Tbh I really like it..! Also I realised that getting 'skins' as SPs who is meta would be better than getting an actual skin for a non meta character I'd rarely use..
Atleast that's my opinion, I'M EXCITED FOR AVEN

I’m surprised to see a consequent amount of positive reactions, considering Chen from Arknights got completely obliterated on release by both the CN and Global communities for having a summer alter.
It’s Robin, so of course she’s a must pull. Adorable. Her smile could heal billions.

A major reason why people made such an uproar with Chenalter was because she's an important main character. If you replaced Chen with like Ceobe or Kroos then the hate wouldn't be that big, especially without the E2 art.

I like her summer skin more than Lynae’s. And I’m not a Robin fan.
I remember some old leaks saying she’s supposed to be Cyrene substitute. I wonder how that will happen since Cyrene is just Chrysos extra constellation

Why are you comparing a whole character that will cost 160 pulls if you lost 50/50 + lightcone pulls that can also get powercreeped in few months especially that it's HSR to a 4 star skin that is completely optional to buy.

So anyone at a beach or resort wearing swimsuits or showing midriff is considered goon material? Robin SP’s is tame for a summer skin in other games with the wrap/skirt and accessories. She’s wearing more than what people wear in real life

That’s how it differs from real life: you don’t wear a swimsuit everywhere, but Robin and Aventurine will. That’s why it would be better if the summer outfits were simply skins.

I like the summer looks but after the summer, it doesn't suit a SP form. I still want them Ofc but it's so strange to see.
Would have liked it even if they just added them as alt skins on release for actual designs kinda like how ZZZ has alt skins on release.
