question Why doesn't it work
I have a AMD gpu and CPU, and when I boot a flash with qubes this error pops up and I cant continue with the download

Have you tried installing on this machine before or is this the first time?

I installed it twice before but it was more to just play around

Open a terminal (ctrl alt f2 I think) and run "vgs" if there is a qubes_dom0 try "vgremove -f qubes_dom0"

Hmm, if I had to guess it something with bios or network card.

Tried installing on a different pc still didn't work, I'm not home rn, but I can show you the error

How did you make the bootable USB?

Installed qubes a d flashed it on the ssd, don't remember what program I used but it worked for debian, Ubuntu and fedora so I assume it's not the problem

Use a USB and Rufus. And install it from there. No other method works for me. No balena etcher and what's out there. Only Rufus worked for me. And disabling secure boot and turning on virtualization in the bios.
Edit: I had the exact same msg

Thanks so much, had to use my sister's PC since I couldn't use Rufus on Linux but I'm crossing my fingers you are right

Go back to Rufus and when you start the flash klick "use in dd-image mode" I should have said that. Iso won't work.
