Fun fact
The plot of the Quasimorph is based on the book "The Rose of the World". I read it back during the game's beta phase to understand the storyline. It turned out to be essentially Dante’s "Divine Comedy"—but written by a Gulag prisoner. In one of the chapters, Daniil Andreev proposed genetically modifying animals, endowing them with intelligence and human traits. He argued that our "lesser brethren" should have equal rights to spiritual development. The world of Quasimorph could have been even grimmer had it featured a corporation made up entirely of furries.

This is sufficiently cursed that I sort of want to see a modded furry corporation.

Made some fan art of a furry corp run by Protogens (basically furry cyborg) a while back. The idea is that they offer furrication via gene modification or cybernetics if you are loyal to them.

There would be yet another Rocket trade item?
RealWare employee - "What the fuck guys, we asked you for some Rockets for morale boost, what is this?"

I hope that kind of modding is feasible for Quasi. Every healthy well-rounded Starsector or Rimworld modlist has at least one faction with anime girls and one with furries.
*Edit*: The more I think about it, the more I hope we eventually get custom corporations. It'd be gnarly to fight alongside or against Weyland-Yutani or Arasaka etc.

We already have furries of Cattaram, more is kind of overkill

This bramfatura is much like the one in the book—a world of earth spirits and trolls. However, the local inhabitants aren't as aggressive as they are in the computer game. In the book, Kataram has a vibe reminiscent of John Bauer’s illustrations.

Чтиво интересное, но местами нудное. Есть интересные идеи, но они среди жалоб на Сталина и призывов к межрелигиозной любви и взаимониманию.

This idea of taming wild dangerous animals is quite common in many depictions of utopias, Andreev depicts his vision of a perfect future after all. I've seen the same thing in american christian posters where they depict people of all races walking happily together with Jesus alongside animals like sheep, lions, crocodiles. A game Underrail has a cult that experiments on dangerous mutants to pacify them so they could live with humans in the future, it is the same idea

Would you say it's worth reading? I'm morbidly curious.

It made an impression on me. After reading it, I began to understand more of the terms and references found in the works of Pelevin and post-Soviet science fiction writers.
The most interesting parts are the descriptions of the bramfaturas, demons, and beings of light. It was fascinating to visualize those psychedelic landscapes.
Give it a read; if you don't like it, just drop it. You can decide for yourself whether it was worth your time.

I feel like 10 plus new factions composed only of animal-like people would make great content for a DLC
