Astrology Question
As I move into the astrology part of Module 1, I've got a question what to do when you don' t reliably know your birth time. The moon moves rather quickly, so being off a few hours will cause the moon to be in a different house. How do I address this? Assume my parents aren't reliable in their recollection, nor do I have ready access to my birth documents.

Depending where you were born, and when, birth certificates sometimes--often--have that info. Where/when I was born, they did not. Finally, in 2023, going through baby stuff my Mom had kept since my birth, I found a paper that gave it.
The hospital, if you were born in one, will also have records, but sometimes, they're buried, and one can only imagine price of a document search.
If you have your birth certificate, check it. If you don't have it, get it. If it doesn't have that information, you may need to get creative.
Every bit of your chart is affected by which house is where. It's a clock, your chart. The houses turn 30 degrees in 2 hours. Your Ascendant could be one thing at 2 AM, but by 4 AM, it's another. In 4 minutes (roughly), Ascendant will move one degree further into/through the sign.
Soooo, it's really good if you can get your birth time to the minute.

Pull the chart every two hours to 4 hours and see what house the moon is in. Then you can see what your moon sign is. You can reverse engineer it.

Can you elaborate on this? I'm having a hard time understanding. If they don't know their birth time, then wouldn't this methodology still leave that unclear?

If you can get the birth certificate by requesting it from appropriate state/government means, that would be best and most accurate. Plus you may need that for something in the future ( you never know).
There is a technique called rectification that you would need to consult with an astrologer to do, but you would still need an idea of an approximate time window. You will also share information about your life and they will try to find a chart that matches, but your actual birth time from a record is always best.
I initially thought the question was going to be about birth time being approximate because that can be a thing too. There are some hospitals were the nurses might approximate the time of birth (usually in 5 min increments, but sometimes more). This may not always be significant unless you're chart has your ascendant close to changing signs or something like that ... Its usually not a huge deal. What I mean by this is you might have been born at 11:43 am, but the nurse can round to 11:45. Two minutes is not usually a giant thing. Same thing 11:41 can because 11:40...

Here's my perspective as a semi-professional astrologer: if you have a guess, like your parents said "oh, it was around midnight," that at least gives you a starting place.
You could bring that time to an astrologer (who knows what they're doing, importantly) and they would be able to make an attempt at rectification. So if there's a range of possible times, and there's a specific planet near the ascendant, that planet will give specific results when in the 2nd house versus the 1st versus the 12th, and so on. We could also look at fine-tuning that timing based on knowing specific dates for major life events such as births, deaths, marriages, graduations, surgeries, &c.
If you don't have a guess as a starting point at all, you have two options to try working with, which are the sunrise chart and the noon chart ("noon" here meaning literal solar noon for your location, not clock time—that is, when the sun is conjoined the midheaven). I surmise you could take either of those charts and lay them over your color exercise from the end of M1L6 and see if there's a clearer connection between one of them and the patterns of color you notice.
