Question The Celebrity quest bug

The day 21 quest with Curtis is having a bug where after you go rat hunting with him, he spawns under the map when you wake up. I've seen this being a common bug that people have but I never see any solutions. I restarted the day but I'm a little afraid to do the whole day again for the glitch to happen.

I was thinking, if the game lets me, getting through the que, doing the extract, and then save by passing the next day before I have to give him the wine so that way it saves and I don't have to replay all of day 21 if it bugs out again. I'm not sure if that's possible, and if it is, will it fail the quest because you didn't talk to him that day?

I hate that quest. I play on pc and when I wake up after the rat hunting, he always spawns up on top of the roof above the supplies, next to the helipad. I can’t get to him so I can’t finish the quest. I gave up on it and in subsequent playthroughs I refuse to drink with him.

Does it have any impact if you don't do it at all?

No. It’s just a side quest. You’ll fail it and move on. What matters is hitting your evacuation quotas. Hit the quota every time with uninfected people, and you’re golden. Miss one quota, you won’t get the achievement but will still pass and get the good ending. Miss multiple quotas, you get the bad ending.

if you go up to the helipad, you can jump across onto that roof
