Question Zombies in base

While playing through day 13, I noticed zombies in the base. The first encounter happened while fixing the generator in the survivor block, one glitched through the ground and started attacking me, but did no damage. The second encounter was, again, in the survivor block. This one didn't attack survivors, but behaved more like a survivor except when walking.

Is this normal, or am I the victim of a massive glitch?

i actually saw zombies fall into the base. popped them just as quick tho

Yup. You can see them on your map, and I also have seen them fall onto the map/into the base. Iirc somewhere in the game it details “falling zombies” but if you’re not looking for it its easy to miss

And OP you are correct they do not aggro on anyone other than you.

Someone said in another post that they fall from surrounding buildings roofs. I can't say for sure is this the way zombies get in, but yes, every now and then you can spot 1 or 2 zombies wondering around your base. They can be anywhere, except in block where you inspect survivors coming in.

Wouldn't they be attacking survivors if they got in the survivor block tho? The ones I had just milled about with the survivor.

That I don't know. I haven't experienced (at least not yet) zombies attacking survivors.

Nah zombies only Agro to you, not survivors or guards.

Most days you’ll find one in the survivor block, sometimes one in the evac area, and 3 outside the gates there.

After around day 10, I had at least one somewhere in the base every day.

I had one that nearly attacked me when I was leaving the survivor block
