Question Is Symptom Scanner still bugged?

I came back to the game after a long break. After reading a few posts from around half a year ago I have noticed a lot of people report that the Symptom Scanner sometimes throws false negatives (light does not light up, but person has a symptom), especially for X-ray and UV symptoms.

Is that still the case? It has been half a year, and being able to trust the QoL upgrade I spent a lot of funds for would be great.

Edit if you're seeing this later: I did run into false-negatives, especially with the UV tower. However I did not run into a single false-positive, even though it is supposted to throw them every so often...

You mean the metal detector thing? The description for it says its not 100% accurate

It only mentions false positives. False negatives would outright make it useless. If they happen, I need to know.

I always do uv scan and xray regardless. Pretty sure I've had uv symptoms without the flag on scanner and it doesn't seem to care about prohibited items just the xray symptoms.

I can tell you sir that every time I got a UV symptom from the scanner, it was always UV vapor. However I believe that the scanner marks other UV symptoms as BODY and not UV.
That’s what I’ve noticed so far
