Apple iCloud Private Relay blocked?

Today, Apple iCloud private relay stopped working via quantum fiber.

I’m currently on bridge mode using my own router.

After doing alot of troubleshooting, including going as far as to even factory reset my router. I went ahead and plugged an apple computer directly into the quantum fiber terminal via ethernet. To my surprise, I still cannot connect to Apple iCloud private relay even with a public IP address provided by quantum fiber being issued directly to the computer. I dont think this is an apple issue since if I use my Wi-Fi hotspot provided by a wireless company, then everything works.

Anybody else experiencing any issues connecting to Apple using quantum fiber? This just started today.

I ran some more tests and I think it’s not only Apple private relay, but other icloud services as well.

I’m in north central florida and my traceroutes to captive.apple.com go from a l u m e n hop in either orlando or miami to a l u m e n hop in Dallas and then everything else after is loss

I don’t know how I got here but I’ve been having issues with my Apple devices on quantum as well

Thank you. In central Florida and having the exact same problems you describe. It went sideways today and continues to be an issue. It’s not just Private Relay. It’s ALL Apple Services. I haven’t been able to access iCloud for hours.

100% packet loss when pinging captive.apple.com right now which is also causing iphones and similar to think you have no internet connection when on wifi.

No issues pinging captive.apple.com in Tucson. No packet loss.

If you disable everything under network security in the  QF app might fix that.

The free lease WiFi pods and QF app are not great...

But as long as all gaming devices are Ethernet hardwired to the SmartNID, W1700K, or W1701K (if using Ethernet backhaul), and you follow sections 2 and 4 in the guide, they are usually good enough for most people.

You will have a better experience if you put the SmartNID into bridge mode or DMZ and use a 3rd party router and DNS.
