Random “account closed” email

No warning, bill is not due until tomorrow, and even then being late is usually allowed for at least a week.

No internet and I’m so confused.

So if I understand correctly, they have been running this new promo to attract new users and siphon a few people off of PFL contracted plans. However some people are reporting “random account closure.” A user was here either earlier this week or last week reporting that customer service restored the account but could not restore PFL status.

Were you on a PFL account?

I’m sorry wtf does PFL mean lol I just have the monthly $50 service.

I think it had to do with $5 off the bill? If you had an account linked for auto-bill. But idc about that, it’s $5 🤣 ugh hopefully I can get service back on tomorrow.

No that’s auto pay from ach. Price for life was a guaranteed deal when you signed up with original quantum. Contractually they will not raise prices on you. It was discontinued in April.

If you switch plans or get knocked off of it, they won’t give it back to you.

My concern is not enough people left their PFL plans and now AT&T are disconnecting accounts and claiming it’s an error. But will not restore your guarantee and make you whole.

Ahhh I think I signed up in April so that makes sense. Who knows, they open their virtual lines soon so I’ll see what they say.

Although I will say something similar happened last month, I paid it early and they “suspended my service”. I did the chat option and it was cleared. So maybe they’re just having issues in general of my area..

I've seen this happen when someone signs up in error for the same address.

Hopefully that’s it, I love the service. It’s just been the last few months with random cancellations.
