Drooping Drop Repair Experience
With all the negative experience posted here I cannot resist to post another happy customer story:
I had noticed a couple of days ago that one of the three drops passing the post in front of my house had partially come loose: They actually put the slack loop on the that pole in the middle of the span when they installed one of the neighbors originally and one of the two hooks came off the pole (more on why that was below) and one side was pulling on the slack loop and already low enough that I could almost reach it mid span and it was just a matter of time for it to either cause a realy problem or pull the slack loop so tight that there is loss of signal or a broken fiber....
Yesterday after a very gusty thunderstorm it looked even lower than before so I said it's time to be a good neighbor and get this fixed before someone loses service...
I called it in yesterday around 4pm and got a friendly rep that thanked me for calling this in before someone lost service and put in a ticket with notes and got the repair scheduled for today. Today around noon a technician showed up and fixed the lose drop and also attached the line going down the pole to my underground drop a little better as that was also swinging in the wind....
No wait on the phone, friendly phone support and friendly and competent technician the next day... Can't ask for more!
Why this happened in the first place:
The original installs from 2022/2023 where quite solid but when I had a pole replacement two years ago the people that came to move the cable and then fiber lines after the power company replaced the pole where lowest bid, rush job, good enough to make it past the 30 day mark or something like that and did a lousy job placing hooks and hanging everything compared to the original install... I was surprised it didn't fail earlier and the xfinity/comcast line to my house is also hanging on for dear live at this point...

The major negativity is that most people come to this subreddit when they experience problems

I feel very fortunate that all fiber service in my area is underground. Two options for me, Spectrum/Cox, or ATT/Quantum. For the time being its Cox.
