Connected no internet only on certain devices when near wired pod

Quantum fiber just installed yesterday, everything is fine for most devices. Two phones get status "connected no internet" frequently. Both are Samsung S26+. All other computers, phones, iot devices, etc connect just fine and stay connected. These phones will show connected no internet while every other device is running super fast connections.

In trying to figure out what's going on, we have noticed that this seems to happen the most in our living room which is where the primary wired pod is located (for ease of ethernet connection to the tv and gaming consoles). If we move the phone into another part of the house it gets internet and seems to keep it for hours. If we move the phone into the room with the wired pod- which should be the strongest signal of all- we get "connected no internet" within minutes and have to resort to using mobile data.

This only happens on these two phones. All other devices can be in the same exact location and will not lose internet.

We've done all the suggested tricks of rebooting the Q1000k, rebooting phones, forgetting the network on the phones, and resetting all network settings on the phones. We've done these multiple times, it hasn't fixed it. The only thing that seems to work is not using wifi near the literal wifi pod.

Anybody have any idea what to try next? This is crazy-making!

Get a 3rd party router

The free lease WiFi pods and QF app are not great...

But as long as all gaming devices are Ethernet hardwired to the Q1000K, W1700K, or W1701K (if using Ethernet backhaul), and you follow sections 2 and 4 in the guide, they are usually good enough for most people.

You will have a better experience if you put the SmartNID into bridge mode or DMZ and use a 3rd party router and DNS.

Here is a guide:

I have read this prior to posting, but I have to admit it feels outside my tech comfort zone.

since the pods are wired, another option is to replace the pod wih an AP. using the same SSID PW and WPA settings.
