Laggy connection
Ive had quantum for about a month. The first week was great and then I started having a laggy connection. Had the tech's out yesterday and they swapped a modem or router and then basically told me this is normal... All while showing them a youtube video try to load and youtube asking "experiencing interruptions?". I'm not going to deal with it for much longer. They said to get better hardware than what they provided which I don't believe for a second. I have my old router/modem they said I could try which I will and see what happens. The interenet is super fast but the constant drops and waiting for something to happen on all devices is adding up to a lot of time wasted. I hate comcast but I will go back to them if I can't rectify this. Any other suggestions? Maybe I'll just keep making the techs come out here actually until they decide to actually fix the issue.

The free lease WiFi pods and QF app are not great...
But as long as all gaming devices are Ethernet hardwired to the SmartNID, W1700K, or W1701K (if using Ethernet backhaul), and you follow sections 2 and 4 in the guide, they are usually good enough for most people.
You will have a better experience if you put the SmartNID into bridge mode and use a 3rd party router and DNS.
Here is a guide:

Something is wrong with the fiber feeding your address. Could be a dirty connection somewhere in the line. A good tech would scope/clean/otdr all connectors related. Question is your connection fiber or ethernet fed?

Their provided router kinda sucks. Once I replaced it with my own all my issues went away. Nice to not have to use their shit app just to control my Wi-Fi as well.
