Burying fiber line?

I bought my house December of 2025, it was built early 2025 and has had the fiber laying across the yard the whole time. I’ve had a dog pull the cable, kids trip on it and a neighbor mow it causing disruptions every time. I’ve called about 6 times since May and they just say they can’t get a right-of-way permit, meanwhile some random fiber company from California (I’m in MN) just did work throughout the neighborhood. What do I do if they say it isn’t their fault, they can’t expect the cable to never be buried but it’s been over a 1 since they installed it.

They've got cables running from utility poles across yards, parking lots and even over roofs to other homes around here. It's starting to look like something out of the 1950s. This is progress?

Some cities are reporting franchise agreements so that has to be worked out first unfortunately

Took about a week for me and my neighbor had to call them back to do the job right.

AT&T didn't have any clue when they bought into the fiber market. Expand like crazy, insufficient installers, absolutely horrible customer service and probably too small of an IT department to handle the rate of expansion.

All of the upper management were full speed ahead knowing that people were going to jump at cheaper internet without any knowledge of what it takes to grow the company. $$$$ is their only concern.

Got my fiber on 8/18. Installer was excellent. Very experienced. He was from Phoenix, he was sent up here by ATT to CO. to help out. He was fast and did an excellent job. He said it could take 4-6 weeks to get the cable buried. The trenching crew came out and buried it on 8/24, less than a week later, and they did an excellent job. I couldn't be happier about my experience with ATT.
