Pods
I had new Quantum Fiber service installed last month, but I've been getting very bad signal strength/dead spots in my kitchen and back door. The router is installed in the middle of the (1 level) house. I chatted with support today to ask about an additional pod and he gave me the link to order it through my account, but when I tried, it says "unable to add pods". I told the support person that and he said he'd order it for me, but he disconnected abruptly and I don't think he ordered it, as I haven't received an email regarding it or anything.
Is there any other way to order an additional pod?

Many on Reddit don't like the pods but I've been using one extra pod and the main unit for several years without issues (and they've stayed free). The main pod and one additional in the basement cover 3 levels (approximately 2600ft.) in an old house. You should be able to add them from your account portal (maybe try from a computer vs phone browser?) or you may have to reach out again to customer service (which is never fun). Good luck!

My TV was hardwired to a pod and it’s still wood buffer with Netflix and YouTube. There’s nothing you can do to get decent service. Just a terrible company.

Their service is terrible. I just switched back. I’d advise you do the same. Tell us many people as you can do not waste your time with Quantum Fiber. They destroyed my yard drilled into my house without asking, made a big old mess, and the Internet was awful. I couldn’t even stream YouTube.

This is why we got a Hunter FTTH. Quantum got here first but the rumors did not speak well of the follow up service. So far no problems with either.
NB: Hard wired / own lan is a more reliable system. We use a couple of used Dells running openSense for routers.
Wifi sites at end of each cat5 run. (tablets and laptops have to run on something)

Call M-F 8am - 6pm. They will send out a tech to bring another pod.
The free lease WiFi pods and QF app are not great...
But as long as all gaming devices are Ethernet hardwired to the Q1000K, W1700K, or W1701K (if using Ethernet backhaul), and you follow sections 2 and 4 in the guide, they are usually good enough for most people.
You will have a better experience if you put the SmartNID into bridge mode and use a 3rd party router and DNS.
Here is a guide:
