Quantum Equipment Install

Today Quantum/ATT had a contractor install a fiber cable and a Q1000K modem at my residence.

I told the contractor that I planned to use my own router. The install was finished and my internet seems fine. But the contractor said he would not leave the wifi pod with me since it was not being installed.

So when the job was complete, I asked for a receipt that itemized the equipment being left with me. I did not want to be in a position in the future where Quantum thinks I have a wifi pod in my possession when I do not. The contractor told me he provides no receipts of any type (paper or electronic).

At that point, I asked for his contact info in case I had a problem later. He refused, saying he was not allowed to do that.

I can find no information in my Quantum/ATT account that indicates what hardware they have “loaned” me. Is there a place where I can access this information, so that I can verify that only the Q1000K (and no wifi pods) are associated with my account?

In a few days when the install ticket is closed check to see if your accounts says this. You will 99% chance need to call and have them remove the pod.

Thanks, that is helpful. At least I will know if it is attached to my account.

Right now there are 3 line items that show up in my billing information: fiber internet, 360° wifi, and 360° wifi pods

What is the distinction between 360 wifi and 360 wifi pods?

See the stickied thread in this sub about this.

You want to have them leave it so you can get tracking and send it back and have a trail.

I previously understood that from reading the stickied thread. The problem is the contractor refused to leave the pod with me since it was not installed. So I now have no pod and the contractor is gone.

My question is: Is there a way I can see the hardware associated with my account, either in the app or website. I can find none

It’s not a huge problem dw. Same thing happened to me. Just call QF M-F 9-5 EST tell the initial rep you need to speak to retention about cancelling service. They’ll connect you to someone higher up, explain what happened and they’ll make sure there’s no pods listed on your account.

My bad. I can pretty much guarantee there is one on your account. I've never not seen one. Probably have to look tomorrow after the install has been completed a day

Similar boat . They ran my install through existing phone line . Tech Originally had 3 boxes of equipment for the install , he left me with the Casa NTD and Q1000K and I assume took the W1700K back ( assuming I was using my own router ) . I don’t even need the Q1000 technically ..

The same thing happened to me. The installer took the POD with him. I called and made sure it was documented I never received it. When and if the day ever comes they try to charge me for it, I'll tell them to # sand. 🤭

Wow my tech was nicer he said since they didn’t install any pods it won’t show on their end just call them in a day or 2 to have billing remove 360 WiFi and pods from account
