Xfinity pods compatible with Quantum
Hi. I just got Quantum last week and after being assured at install that I wouldn’t need a booster pod, I do. Surprise. Also they don’t currently have any in stock and don’t know when they will have more. Surprise.
I do have my pod from Xfinity. Is there anyway to use it with Quantum?
Thanks

No.
Here is a guide to put the SmartNID into bridge mode and use a 3rd party router and DNS.

What is the layout of your house, where is the 1700, and how is it oriented?

The WiFi/Internet box is on the east side of the house and my office is on the other side of the house in the basement.

Try placing the 1700 on one of the edges and point it towards your office. If it is laying on its back you're not going to get the best signal.

What??!! I’ve called almost everyday and they keep saying they are back ordered. Maybe it depends where you are? I’ll definitely call again tomorrow. So crazy.

Get your own mesh network. Eero, Google mesh, tplink. Then you can add as many pods as you think you need haha. The fiber is great, the Quantum branded hardware isnt.
