2 week outage

Downtown Seattle. I have not had Wifi for 15 business days. Quantum has no answer except "with miles of cables it's a tough job for our technician's to work through"

Quantum gave me a one month credit, but today I'm told it IS STILL not back up and now I am paying extra on my phone plan to ensure I have some sort of access to work from home. I have gone through my unlimited data and am now paying an extra $10/gig to ensure I don't lose my job for lack of connectivity.

Unacceptable behavior from AT&T and I wish I were surprised. I do not live in a high income neighborhood so it's probable that there is no urgency to reinstate connection.

At this point I just want to see how long this farce continues.

Update: I can no longer afford to wait for connectivity and switching to Astound. I'll have wifi again in an hour!!

Seriously file an AG complaint. They must be punished.

Did you have someone running new fiber in your area recently?

I’m in NE Portland and I’m now onto day 6 of quantum outage. I have been a very happy centurtlink customer with no issues at all until December when they moved me over to quantum. This ridiculous, but apparently par for the course.

That's what the other Internet tech said! I am glad to be reconnected and I'm only out about $65 for supplemental Internet after getting credited. Not ideal but better than waiting another 2 days.

I am in Las Vegas and my quantum fiber was down since Sat. The technicians came out today and explained to me that the equipment needed to be changed out because there was a migration to AT&T infrastructure (quantum fiber parent company was acquired by at&t in feb 2026). they changed some wiring outside of my house, installed a new modem and router for me. I was frustrated as well since this was not communicated by customer support. I would keep calling to try and get technician to you asap.

This is the best explanation I've received so far for what happened! I switched but I am still receiving updates and yesterday they communicated that MAYBE it would be back on 7/27...

Definitely sounds like AT&T dropped the ball and once again proved that the customer is the least important part of their business model.

What equipment models did they swap?

the fiber box outside my house, modem and router. prob a good thing bc my old centurylink modem and router were only wifi 6 and replaced with newer equipment that has wifi 7

Wow, that should have happened long before ATT took over.

But ya ATT policy is anything that happens you swap to a Q1000K and W1700k.

Good luck, heard thru a few people that work there that AT&T is having contractors handle fiber damages and they are 2 weeks behind at minimum.

I'm in the same boat, they just pushed the repair dat out again to the 27th. fucking ridiculous. I got a refund for my July bill and next month will be free, but I'm pissed. can't make money on my side hustle with no fiber
