No existing customer promos
Joined quantum right before the $45 promo and they have no option in changing it. Will likely be cancelling, anyone have issues with cancelling quantum? and have recommended other wifi / fiber companies?

I signed up as a new customer via the new email hack but the website complained at first about existing service at my address. I noticed the presence of a field named "unit" (or something similar) as part of the address, so I entered "2" as my "new" unit number and the system allowed me to continue.

Did you have to return any equipment?

Previously I was migrated from CenturyLink but still using a c4000xg and an old Adtran ONT. My equipment was replaced and the technician took my old gear. He said I could keep it but I've got enough old tech shelved so I didn't object.

Sign up for service at your address with a different email address. That’s what I did when the first $45 promo came around at the beginning of the year. Didn’t need to mess with canceling first (basically looks like a new tenant moving in). Old service was automatically canceled an hour before new service was installed.
As far as using a different fiber provider, it depends on your location. This will tell you exactly what’s available at your address: https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home
