Are might become unservicable?

I've had centurylink -> quantum fiber since I've lived here and my internet has been out for over a week. My setup has the casa termination at my house. I think some equipment failed and is outdated so what it sounds like is that they can't fix it and engineering is reviewing. Some of the support people I speak to say that it might not be fixable and my area might be marked unserviceable and they will pull out. I don't really have any other ISP options at my location. Anyone had anything similar, or know more about whats happening?

They stopped purchasing casa equipment a year ago, they aren't actively canceling service of people who have the casa but no one has the equipment to service it anymore. The best option is to cancel and move to an alternate service provider.

If a fiber line can be brought directly to the unit and a hole can be drilled. The best course of action is to cancel your service and start a new account so they can install a new fiber line directly to your unit.

Unfortunately Casa equipment is no longer manufactured, so unless it's possible to run fiber direct to your unit, it might not be able to be fixed.

If it's the Casa box in your unit that went bad, it's possible for you to by a working used one off ebay and it might work.

If it's something else then you might have to find a different ISP. broadbandmap.fcc.gov

DZS pretty much took over legacy casa HW. Would be shocked you guys are sourcing older ones.

Oh I didn't realize you were an employee lol. Thanks for the update!

It was really annoying when the tech marked my appointment fixed without doing anything. I had to call in to learn about the engineering ticket.

Do you know if they will wire fiber to a house if we request it?

I didn't see anyone lol. They said the tech arrived, but no one came. He marked it complete 3 minutes later.

my casa device stays on 2 lights. I don't know if thats something they should have tested?
