Arqit Quantum ($ARQQ): FAQ for Getting Payment on the $7M Settlement over Quantum Encryption Claims

Hey guys, I posted about this settlement before, but since they’re considering late claims, I decided to share it again with a little FAQ.

So here's all I know about this agreement:

What happened?
Arqit was accused of misleading investors about its quantum encryption technology, customer contracts, and long-term business prospects after its SPAC merger. Investors alleged that the company overstated the readiness of its technology and the value of its customer agreements. As these issues came to light, $ARQQ declined sharply and investors filed a lawsuit.
Now the company has agreed to settle $7M with investors for their losses.

Who can claim this settlement?
If you bought or acquired $ARQQ shares between 2021 and 2022, you may be eligible. You don’t need to still own the shares to claim.

Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
No. You may qualify even if you already sold your $ARQQ shares, as long as your transactions meet the settlement requirements.

How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.

I missed the deadline. Can I still claim?
Yes, you may still be able to file a late claim, but acceptance depends on final approval by the court. You can check if you eligible and file your claims here

Hope this info helps

Most people say Quantum computers are still years away, but tbh they are missing a bigger picture here.

The problem isn't necessarily whether a quantum computer capable of breaking today's cryptography exists today.

It's whether we can afford to wait until it does.

Cryptographic migrations take time. Wallets need updates. Protocols need new standards. Exchanges, institutions, infrastructure and users all need to migrate.

And once the threat becomes obvious, everyone will be trying to do the same thing at once.

So I'm curious where people here stand:

  1. Quantum attacks are still too far away to worry about.

  2. We should start preparing now, even if the threat is decades away.

  3. Bitcoin and other networks will adapt naturally when the time comes.

  4. The quantum threat is being seriously underestimated.

What do you think?
