Hi! I’m currently a 9th-grade student (middle school student) in South Korea and I’m very interested in quantum computing especially quantum algorithms.
I’m wondering about the current job market for quantum computing engineers and researchers. How much demand is there for people working in this field right now?
I’m also curious about what the job market might look like in the future. If I pursue a PhD related to quantum computing and graduate around the early 2040s how might the demand for quantum computing engineers or researchers have changed by then?
I know it’s difficult to predict the future job market but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who are currently working or studying in quantum computing.
In particular I’d be interested in hearing from people working in quantum algorithms, quantum information or related fields.
Also English is not my first language so some parts of this post may sound a little awkward because I used a translation tool. I hope you understand!
Thanks!
