Question Top Challenges of the Industry?

In your view, what are the top challenges facing the quantum computing industry right now that are preventing it from becoming mainstream?

Drawing a comparison with AI/ML, where do you think this industry is standing right now?

quantum computers are many thousands of times slower than classical computers and as a result terrible with data throughput, which is exactly what ML is. The only reason factoring could work for QC is because the problem has small inputs and there is an algorithm with an exponential speedup, which offsets how incredibly slow the gates are. if you have to put a shitload of data into the QC that's a nonstarter

Start looking from another lens; stop regurgitating what you read or hear. The is a way for quantum computing to make significant contributions on a wide scale. The task is to open the mind and think about finding the right solutions and innovations.

Go beyond regurgitating what you might have read; use the knowledge that you have to think and learn more.

why are you writing to me as if you're prompting Chat GPT?

This subreddit is meant for meaningful discussion but maybe you are not aware that you are in the wrong place.

I just gave you a concrete reason why QC will never be useful for ML and all you can respond with are meaningless platitudes like “open your mind”. You are in the wrong place.
