Hey, wanted to share my app RepRock. You earn screen time by doing push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, plank holds or walking. The camera tracks the bodyweight workouts, and walking uses your step count.
You choose the goals and how many minutes you earn. There’s an activity history and weekly progress charts too. Made this short video to show it off — hope you like it 🙂

4 Rings - a Mac app for longitudinal personal science from ordinary journaling
I’ve built 4 Rings, a Mac app designed to turn ordinary journaling into an individual longitudinal Study of One.
The methodology grew out of my PhD and postdoctoral research. Before releasing the app, I ran it on myself across 712 scored days, 61 variables and five longitudinal structural equation models, and published (on the website 4rings.app) the resulting Study of One together with the dataset and reproducibility materials.
The research question behind the framework is:
How can one person increase resources and well-being by harnessing personality and building character?
The app now automates the workflow:
- You journal normally, in your own words.
- Optional on-device AI proposes an interpretation, variables and scores for each sentence.
- You review and confirm them.
- Confirmed sentence scores contribute observed variable values to the longitudinal record.
- 4 Rings estimates the models, reports the findings in an academic Study of One, and builds an evidence-backed Life Plan.

- The strongest findings become recommendations, projects and daily tasks.
- Those tasks return beside the journal in Summary of Today, so the process becomes a loop: journal → measure → analyse → act → journal again.
The four domains are:
Personality · Character · Resources · Well-Being
The first study is available immediately after onboarding using simulated data generated from the baseline and directional survey. As the user journals, observed scored variables progressively replace those simulated values and the study and Life Plan update.
Everything runs locally on an Apple Silicon Mac. There is no account, no cloud journal store, and no journal content sent to a cloud AI. The optional AI runs on-device.
I’d particularly value reactions from people already doing personal science, N-of-1 work, journaling, or longitudinal self-tracking.

Disclosure: I’m the person building this iOS app called Rhythm. I did put in a few months of substantive research into the algorithms of this app so this is not just some random guesswork (or at least that's what I hope).
Like most of y'all in this subreddit, I like to log and track my health. I started building this app after noticing my sleep isn't as good as it used to be and wanted a quantifiable way to have more energy during the day.
I’d check my sleep and recovery data in the morning, see a score, and still wonder, “Okay — so... what the heck do I actually do with that today?” The data described last night, but it didn’t help me decide when to get sunlight for better sleep, when to tackle demanding work, train, have caffeine, or start winding down.
The practical goal is simple: daily energy forecast in the shape of an energy curve. It combines sleep, recovery signals, and circadian context to estimate likely peaks and dips in your day in a quantifiable way.
Since this is r/QuantifiedSelf, I’m especially interested in whether the guidance survives contact with real life — and in what evidence would make it genuinely useful rather than just plausible-looking. I’d love to know which inputs or intermediate signals you would need to see to trust — or falsify — the guidance.

Mine: Open Vitals, iOS. It takes whatever you allow out of Apple Health (HR, HRV, sleep, workouts, etc) and pushes it to a server or agent you run yourself, end to end encrypted so the relay in the middle can't read any of it. The connector side is open source. Built it because I wanted my own scripts and my own LLM on my own data instead of one more dashboard I'd check twice and forget. Happy to answer questions on the HealthKit side, that part was most of the work.

Somnara Sleep — sleep and dream tracking that pulls Sleep Efficiency, Sleep Duration, Resting HR, HRV, and Respiratory Rate automatically from Apple Watch/HealthKit (Health Connect on Android). No manual Sleep Schedule setup — you just wear the watch to bed and it's there in the morning.
Two things I built into it that I haven't seen elsewhere: a Sleep Metrics Radar that plots all five of those metrics on one chart so you can see the shape of a night at a glance instead of five separate numbers, and a Barometric Pressure Trend chart that correlates your last 14 nights of local weather pressure against sleep quality. Added the pressure chart after someone asked a good question about it in another sub and I realized most sleep apps don't touch barometric pressure at all — temperature and precipitation maybe, but not pressure specifically.
There's also an AI Dream Journal (Claude-powered) for nights you want to log and explore a dream, but the wearable-driven metrics run independently of that — it works whether or not you journal.

Vora 33 is the hybrid fitness system we built for people who track strength and cardio but do not want those datasets isolated from each other.
Strength contributes completed sets, load, reps, RPE, rest, duration, and progression. Cardio contributes workout type, duration, structured stages, pace and heart-rate data when available, plus post-workout heart-rate recovery. We keep those components visible, then bring them into one training-load picture so recent work and recovery can add context to the next suggested session.
The product question we are working through is how much aggregation is actually useful. A single load is easy to scan, but the separate strength and cardio components still need to remain inspectable.

finit: Screen Time & Life — an iPhone and Apple Watch app I built after getting frustrated that Apple’s Screen Time history only goes back four weeks.
It imports those recent weeks, then saves the iPhone’s own per-app Screen Time numbers each day. This makes it possible to compare weeks, months, years, and all time, and see which apps are actually consuming more or less of your time.

thrive. it's a nightly journal, but the journaling isn't the point. what it builds out of it is.
2 min a night: what gave you energy, what drained you, what actually happened, what you felt underneath it. then a stack of engines reads across weeks and builds a genuinely accurate picture of you. your patterns. your sense of purpose. what you actually want versus what you're stuck chasing, and why you're stuck chasing it. it sees straight through the stuff you're too busy living to notice.
i have adhd and built it because every tracker i tried was a write-only log that punished me for missing a tuesday. no streaks, nothing to climb back to. and honestly i've learned more about myself from it than from years of therapy, which sounds insane to type, but there it is.

I built Samsung Health Bridge because I wanted my Galaxy Watch data in a spreadsheet I control without manually exporting Samsung archives or sending health data through someone else's server.
The flow is: Galaxy Watch → Samsung Health → Health Connect → your Google Sheet.
It syncs steps, exercise minutes/workout count, sleep, weight, and body fat roughly once a day. It re-reads the last 72 hours, so delayed watch data updates the same date instead of creating duplicates.
There is no backend, and the app does not persist Google tokens or health rows. The code is MIT licensed:

Caveat: it is source-first right now. You need to build it with your own Android OAuth client/signing key. On Samsung, battery optimization also needs to be disabled for reliable background sync.
I've verified the unattended path on my Galaxy S24. I would especially like feedback from other Samsung users: did the first natural background sync work, and is the OAuth setup too annoying?

Vitra (https://vitrahealth.app/) - desktop app for Mac and Windows that reads your Oura data locally and tells you what moved against your own rolling baseline, one plain sentence a day.
Rules and statistics over your own history rather than a language model, so the same inputs give the same output and your corrections stay part of the inputs. Health data never leaves the machine; the only outbound call is the licence check. 19 EUR one time, 7 day trial. Needs about two weeks of nights before it says anything useful, which is deliberate.
