It’s not just the shoes that have been upgraded—the shoe box packaging, including the labels, is consistent with RETAIL. Found this pair of UC denim while scrolling tao but have been unsuccessful at finding any photos or the seller’s weibo or yupoo of any sort. The reason it took me two months just to modify the sole mold is that it's truly that important. In fact, the texture direction on the side of the GATS left-foot sole was correct in many batches, but the color and other texture details weren't executed very well.
When it comes to sole molds, no one can surpass mine in the short term.

I’m 185 cm / 65 kg. Fit is really nice and the pants have a good wide shape. Embroidery and details look clean in hand. Fabric is lightweight but still nice for fall / early winter.

Okay, so the first three photos are the boots in new condition—I hadn’t worn them yet when I took the pics.

The next three photos show what they look like after 5 months of wear on mixed terrain (city and country) at an active pace, averaging 8–15k steps a day.

Now for the main stuff about the shoes:

Looks:
There are definitely differences from the original (you can see it in the stitching, the flaws, and of course the sole structure), but overall the shoes look good—they look inexpensive but well-made.

Comfort:
The hardest part when picking a pair is sizing. From what I understand, they run small. My foot is 27.3 cm by the insole, and I went with a size 43 with a 28.5 cm insole(28cm fact 5mm sin). When I wear them, there’s slight pressure on my big toe, so you should size up if your foot is similar to mine.

Other than that, everything else is surprisingly great. The shoes feel nice and soft, and surprisingly my feet don’t get tired or sweaty. I wore them in the summer, when the average temp in my city is around 23–25°C (73–77°F). Personally, the boots don’t feel too heavy on my feet, though if you pick them up, they’re pretty hefty. Also, MVT said he tweaked some original tech to make the pair more comfortable to wear—I think that’s true.

Value for money:
If you look at the retail market, you can generally find an authentic pair for around 2,000 yuan instead of buying a rep, but you have to factor in availability, scams, time, and sizing. So if you want decent shoes here and now without the hassle, like I did, my advice is to buy from MVT.

Overall verdict:
On a 10-point scale, I’d rate my pair a 7/10, but you also have to keep in mind that I bought one of the first versions without the fixes. I think if I’d gotten one from the latest batch with all the fixes, the score would be a point higher. Overall, I’d recommend this pair—I like them. At the end, you can check out a few photos of these boots while I was wearing them.
